The Gentiles

Discussion in 'Bible Study' started by Ryan Lepko, Nov 14, 2012.

  1. I watched a sermon a couple of weeks ago that literally made my jaw drop and my heart skip a beat. I sat and pondered on it, prayed about it and talked with my dad about it. My dad finally got around to watching it as well, and this was just as jaw dropping for him as it was for me and he has been a believer for almost 40 years. I questioned posting this here as I am the exception here, not the norm. But I really feel led to put this up here. I am not promoting him or his ministry, just purely the message. If you would like to discuss, let's discuss. It is a hour and twenty minutes of your time. So grab a bag of popcorn and enjoy.

  2. thank you for posting this sermon...i learned a lot! We are Israeeeel! :p
  3. I was brought up on what was said in the video and could almost hear my Grandmother talking to me as the man in the video spoke. My grandmother was a big proponent of the British Israel theory. I have always believed that I belonged to Israel by adoption through Jesus Christ.

Gal 4:5 - To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

John 1:12 - But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

John 11:52 - And not only for that nation, but to bring together and unite all the children of God scattered around the world

Rom 8:15 - For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Rom 8:23 - And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.

Romans 8:14-16 - For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father."For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children.

  4. Very interesting videos...epecially the one about the sons of God, giants and Nephilim.
  5. You are!!

We who have accepted Christ as Messiah and Savior are in fact SPITITUAL JEWS!!!
  6. Isn't it wonderful! And as a result we are his sons and heirs. Praise His Holy name.

Galations chapter 4 puts it like this (paraphrasing)

The heir, while ever he is a child is under the protection of his guardian and in effect is no different from a slave even though when the time is right he will inherit everything.

In the same way we were slaves to the world and the law but when the fullness of time came God sent his Son, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might be adopted into His family. And because we are his sons we can cry, “Abba! Father” because we are no longer a slave, but a son and an heir of God.

  7. AMEN my brother and my the Lord Jesus bless you and keep you in the palm of His hand!
  8. It was a very interesting and thought provoking message. I believe when reading the Epistles, it sheds some light on exactly who the Gentiles were and what the Good News was. Does anybody believe the message isn't scripturally sound?
Welcome William. I haven't watched any of his other messages, other then the first part of Understanding Romans. When I have more time, I'll delve into those.
  9. Mr. Hannaford stated that.............."epecially the one about the sons of God, giants and Nephilim".

I did not have an hour and a half to devote to the video so I am not sure about how Biblical it was considering the idea of the "sons of God, giants and Nephilim". So many people tend to really get that confused.
  10. Be extremely careful brothers and sisters what you receive and test (1 Thess 5:21) the information he's putting out to see if it's sound. Study diligently. After watching this that's what I'm going to do. I need to be certain this isn't the boast Paul was trying to warn us of in Romans 11:19.
