Sabbath 5/7/16 Seventh Day Baptist Daytona Pastor Wray sermon “God Speaks Through His World” Psalm 19:1-16

God speaks through Creation. It says something about the kind of God He is. He is an awesome God! He has spoken in a way that shows the magnitude of His Power. He speaks thru His world-creation. In Genesis, God had a process for making things in our physical world. As He made them, He said it is good, it is very good. Good meaning pleasant and agreeable. It wasn’t just beautiful but it had accomplished the purpose for why God had created each thing in the world.

God is in the world. He is there and He is not a silent God. God speaks thru His creation. The message that His creation speaks is clear. There was a bird walking around on the grass this morning. Last night there were 5 birds walking around eating bugs. There was one bird that a lizard jumped up in front of. The bird watched the lizard and then the bird walked completely around the lizard. Then the bird gobbled up that lizard. The last I saw of that lizard was his tail going down the bird’s throat. The bird had looked the lizard in the eye and poof it was gone.

The sun comes up in the morning when it’s supposed to, like God tells it to. The sun comes up slowly very early in the morning. The sun is not to be worshipped as a god. It has no power of its own. The sun just gives testimony that God is there and that God is glorious. The testimony of creation is beautiful but it is not enough to bring salvation. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. Looking at the glory of God thru creation, we need to pray for the missionaries who are sharing the gospel in foreign countries. We can take part in the sharing of the gospel to the ends of the earth through our prayer and giving.

Even after the fall of Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden, God’s creation-the world is still giving testimony of God. God still speaks thru His creation and this gives testimony of God and Jesus. We should be excited about the God who created the world and not just excited about the creation. As God speaks thru His world, let Him speak through us-to let others know about the love God has for all of us. Jesus came to seek and save those who are lost. We need to be set on fire to reach other people, to let them know the love of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

AMEN
