  1. Rip Current Advisory - Atlantic Coast of Florida

The NWS and NOAA have issued a strong Rip Current Advisory for parts of the Atlantic Coast of Florida. This will remain in effect through Thursday September 20th. Anyone visiting Florida Atlantic coastal beaches are being asked to heed the Rip Current Advisories and supervise and monitor any children playing in or near the surf line.

If you are caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the beach until you feel the rip current dissipate - then, swim in to shore. Warning Flags are posted at all lifeguard stations in Rip Current Advisory Areas. Do not swim in Rip Current areas.
