  1. We don't repent because of our own works, rather we repent because of God's kindness towards us. Your thoughts.

Rom 2:4 NIV Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

  2. "Repent" is just to "change your mind" - Metanoeo - "meta" change, "noeo" understanding of the mind. We repent because we learn the truth and change accordingly. If after learning from the Holy Spirit, and they do not repent, they're rejecting the truth. If they continue this rejection through death, it's the unpardonable sin, because by rejecting the truth of the words of the Holy Spirit, they're saying to Him "I don't believe you" which is to judge Him as not being truthful. At death, they're calling the Holy Spirit a liar.

  5. Yes, but ultimately we repent because of the work of the Holy Spirit. No part of salvation is ours to claim.

  8. Can any man "deny" his own earthly father, even though he may dislike him greatly? No. Neither can a earthly father "deny" his own son, even though he may dislike him too. I can "deny" any father in this world that is not my real father, and they will deny me also.
If I become "unfaithful" or "faithless" to my true Father, my true father remains faithful to me, for he can not deny his own son in whom he lives.

2Ti 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
2Ti 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Major and Jahida say Amen and like this.
  9. I agree, good scripture CCW. I believe the word deny belongs to nonbelievers.
