Pre-fall or Post Resurrection?

Discussion in 'Fellowship Time' started by SouthernStorm, Aug 3, 2016.

  1. A friend of mine once said that we are better off now as believers in Christ's death and resurrection than Adam was prior to the fall. Any thoughts?

  2. Ah no way !!
Before the fall Adam was covered in God's glory. God Could then come to the garden and walk and talk with Adam and I bet it was kind of tough for the angels to tell them apart.

There was no sin or curse fighting against them. Even the animals were peaceful and so much more like no sickness or evil every where they looked like today.

Now after the fall I would say yea we are, for after the fall and before Jesus only the priest, kings and prophets had the Holy Spirit.

We after Jesus have the Holy Spirit and all authority has been given to us and we have God's word and His every promise and The Name Of Jesus and the Blood.

We have it best after the fall of man but before the fall.....wow that's like heaven on earth.
    Blessings

Some good thoughts there brother...it's kind like six of one and half a dozen of the other really, isn't it? [IMG]Perhaps we may have never left the garden?

  4. Lol amen. That reminds me of a story a pastor once told. He said a group of people were constantly blaming everything on Adam and wanting to tell him a thing or two.

The pastor said this went on and on and on then one day he looked at them asked have any of you disobeyed God and sinned even though you should have known better.

Then the pastor told them that if they were the ones in the garden we would be blaming you. Guess that was the end of that. Lol
    Blessings my sister

I think we would have been better off not knowing sin but since sin entered the world...we are better off knowing Jesus. ;)

Pre fall we know very little, but there are a few clues given us if we look for them.
    Fistly look at :
Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Man without his compliment is incomplete.
Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
This seems to imply that God's presence was not noticably present at all time there in the pre fall garden. The dialogue between the serpent and Eve seems strange if the Lord God was present, but in His absence, He could be and was freely discussed.. at no time was He called apon to affirm His rule.
It seems reasonable that man was left to his own devices so to speak.
    Now jumping ahead,
Jesus taught us that there would be no marriage in heaven...
Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
Mar 12:25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
    Why? there are many things that can be offered in answer to that question, the one germane to your OP is that looking ahead to post resurrection, Jesus new that we would all be complete in Him in the new Jerusalem , we would have no need of a compliment, as we do here in this pre resurrection life because;

After the reusuurction,...............Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God..
So Pre fall God visited man probably on a daily basis, but lived in heaven.
    Post rapture things havde changed.
