On The Third Day....

Our Lord comes speaking to us from heaven via the words of a “stranger”. Let us REMEMBER to let brotherly love continue….entertaining strangers for we shall entertain His messenger unawares.

Hebrews 13:1-2 KJV
(1) Let brotherly love continue.
(2) Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Let Him not find us “sleeping”….forgetting to let brotherly love continue as He will talk with us by the way and will open the Scriptures to us. Our hearts shall burn within us as He will do this. The hearts of the two disciples did burn as they walked to Emmaus (meaning “hot spring”). Even though they initially did not recognize Jesus, they entertained Him as He spoke to them. They only saw Him as a stranger at first….but they did let brotherly love continue.

Luke 24:32 KJV
(32) And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

We are to take heed on how we hear as unto a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawn and the day star arise in our hearts. Let us HEAR His interpretation of the Scriptures and behave righteously as He sends men (His messengers) to speak as they are moved by the Holy Spirit to the ears of the churches. Do not despise “prophesyings” of His messengers.

2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV
(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

He is the Bright and Morning Star rising within our hearts as we hear His words. Jesus sends His messenger to testify of these things in the churches. We have His evidence within our very hearts as the Day Star shall arise within them. He is the Bright and Morning Star within our very hearts so that we know what we hear is His voice and is the Truth.

Revelation 22:16-17 KJV
(16) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Let us hear what the Spirit is saying and be inviting towards His messengers who will come speaking His words of life and spirit to our ears. Let us show true hospitality towards those whom He sends.

(17) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Out of heaven (the AIR where words travel to our ears) shall we be made to hear His voice so that He might instruct us. Upon the “earth” (our HEARTS) shall we see His great fire. Let us not refuse Him that speaks from heaven and shows His great fire within our hearts as our hearts shall burn as He opens up the Scriptures to our understanding.

Deuteronomy 4:36 KJV
(36) Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

Let us give thanks for His words of life and spirit. Let us be thankful for His knowledge and glorify Him. Let us not quench the Spirit but instead hear and be filled with what the Spirit is saying. Let us not be drunk with wrath and pride and evil but instead be filled with the Spirit as we shall hear what the Spirit is saying. Let us not despise His words….the prophesyings…the interpretations of the Scriptures which shows us things to come. Let us abstain from all appearance of evil when we shall hear His Voice.

1 Thessalonians 5:18-24 KJV
(18) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
(19) Quench not the Spirit.

(20) Despise not prophesyings.
(21) Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
(22) Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Let us be preserved BLAMELESS unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(23) And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(24) Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Let us not follow after the evil deeds of Diotrephes who would not receive His messengers of the Word of Truth and did prate against them with malicious words and did forbid others to receive them and cast out of the church who did receive them.

3 John 1:9-14 KJV
(9) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

The Lord will come for judgment. He will remember the deeds of those who will do such things. He will reward every man according to what his work shall be…whether good or bad.

(10) Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

Let us NOT follow after that which is evil but that which is good. Let us abstain from all appearance of evil. He that does good is of God.

(11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
(12) Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
(13) I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:
(14) But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

We are to “WATCH”…that is, stay AWAKE and let brotherly love continue. If we FORGET to let brotherly love continue, we shall not recognize the coming of our Lord in the words of a “stranger” who we shall meet by the way.

Matthew 24:
(42) Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
(43) But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

BE READY ALWAYS…for in such an hour as you think not does the Son of Man come.

(44) Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Who is then the faithful and wise servant? The faithful and the wise are those who will be hospitable and entertain His “strangers” who He will send to the churches to speak His words of life and spirit. The faithful and wise servant shall give them “meat” in due season….that is, they shall show love and kindness and hospitality…

(45) Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Blessed is that servant whom His Lord when He shall come shall find him doing so.

(46) Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
(47) Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

But an evil servant….one like Diotrephes….will say in his heart “My Lord delays His coming” and will behave very badly towards the fellow servants sent to them to speak the Word of Truth. Like Diotrephes, they will “smite” His servants with malicious words and will not be hospitable towards them. They will be found “sleeping” as they will forget to let brotherly love continue as many shall join together in their "drunkenness".

(48) But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
(49) And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
(50) The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
(51) And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Let us not be "drunk" with the wine of wrath but instead partake of the Holy Spirit….as we shall hear what the Spirit says. We are to be have the eyes of our understanding enlightened and we shall taste of the heavenly gift. We shall taste the good Word of God as spoken by men who speak as they are led by the Spirit. Although we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater and that witness is WITHIN our very hearts. Let us not HARDEN OUR HEARTS.

Hebrews 6:4-12 KJV
(4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
(5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Let us not fall away and crucify what we hear….the Son of God. Let us not put Him to open shame by opposing and contradicting what He has to say.

(6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

The "earth" = our hearts. Let us bring forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed. Let us entertain strangers and their words and bring forth the fruits of righteousness. Let us let brotherly love continue. Let us take heed on how we hear His words ...the "rain"....spoken through those whom He sends.

(7) For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

Let us not bear forth evil malicious words and bad deeds....thorns and briers... towards what we shall hear.

(8) But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
(9) But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

Let us do good things before Him. Let us love His authority over our own thoughts and ways as we keep His commandments. Let us be hospitable towards the strangers who shall minister His good Word. God is not unrighteous to forget our work and labor of love which we shall show toward His name and in that we have ministered to the saints and do minister. Those who will do good shall serve meat in due season towards His messengers.

(10) For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
(11) And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
(12) That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

The THIRD DAY:

Let the “earth”….the heart which drinks in the “rain”…the Word…. (rain = “and God said..”) bring forth peace (grass) and the herb yielding seed (faith) and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind whose seed is in itself…..

Genesis 1:11-13 KJV
(11) And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

The Word is sown on the GOOD EARTH which brings forth the fruits of righteousness. The GOOD GROUND shall bear forth the fruits of righteousness.

(12) And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
(13) And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Let us hear the Word of God (and God said….) which is the “RAIN” that falls often upon our hearts…the GOOD EARTH. Let us hear the Word and bring forth peace (grass) and receive it. Let us hear the Word and RECEIVE IT in FAITH…..which is the smallest of the seeds of herbs. Let us hear the Word and bring forth the fruits of righteousness towards what we hear.

Mark 4:20-25 KJV
(20) And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
(21) And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
(22) For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
(23) If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
(24) And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
(25) For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Nothing shall be hid…for men shall hear His Word and will speak either evil or good things. The good earth shall bring forth good fruit….the tree yielding good fruit.

Matthew 12:33-37 KJV
(33) Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
(34) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
(35) A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil thing
s.

The fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself: by our words shall we be justified and by our words shall we be judged. What kind of fruit shall we yield towards the hearing of His good Word …..as men are as trees?

(36) But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
(37) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

In the THIRD DAY He will raise us up and we shall live in His sight. We shall hear His knowledge so…His sight….so that we shall KNOW. If we follow on to KNOW HIM, His going forth is prepared as the morning and He shall come unto us as the RAIN and the latter and former rain unto the “earth”. The "rain" falls often upon the earth and the good ground shall produce fruit.

Hosea 6:1-3 KJV
(1) Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
(2) After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

(3) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
