Well, I feel like God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit let me love Severus Snape romantically. :3
God gives us all free will. It is hoped that while we make our choices in life freely, that we make these choices, in the light. We are here to learn. Some lessons are harder than others.

Jesus Christ is the Word of God. He is the way the truth and the life.
Polly, surrender your life completely to Jesus Christ. There is no other way for sure. You cannot feel like God is approving your fantasies. Your feelings are wrong. Search the Word of God for the truth because Word of God is Jesus Christ and He is the way the truth and the life.
Colossians 3:4-6

Whatever you have with this "Severus Snape romantically" is an inordinate affection. According to Colossians 3:5, inordinate affection is idolatry. This is what Paul says about idolatry,

Apart from that, any other spirit other than Holy Spirit (Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father) is evil.
Your trying to be a Christian is the best choice you've made and don't ever give up on it. Christians have two commandments which are

So Polly, if you want to become a Christian, then start loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and study His Word and abide by it. There is no other way. Put all your trust in God and no other.

I say these things with my own life experience. I was in darkness not knowing the truth and ignorantly committed idolatry and suffered for many years. That's the very reason why I'm sharing this with you. Don't worry, when you come out of your current mind set and embrace Christ Jesus with all your heart, you will cherish your life. I thought I loved God but I was wrong until the day I had a personal encounter with Lord Jesus Christ. The love of Jesus Christ changed my life completely. Now I have hope of an everlasting life with Him. Nothing in this world matters anymore.

Believe in God's Word and act upon it.............that's the key.

But I don't understand why don't you understand me now. I always meant that Severus Snape is my crush. Women have crushes on men, and usually the men and women get together and marry then... Without romantic feelings no one can marry.
Subject your thoughts to Christ Jesus. I'm no one to understand you but Lord knows your heart. The Holy Spirit, the comforter, counselor and the spirit of truth will guide you into all truth if you ask.

Look for the truth. Truth is found in the Word of God. Pray and ask Holy Spirit to guide you. Spend time reading the Holy Word. Otherwise, how will you know the truth? You need faith in God.
