  1. Named Storm: 'Kyle'

    TROPICAL STORM KYLE formed late this afternoon from a Tropical low pressure area northwest of Hispaniola in the western Atlantic. This storm will travel northward, off the US east coast and may eventually affect the Canadian Maritime Provinces with high surf and rains. Since this storm will not be a major event as of this time, this will most likely be our only posting for this Tropical Storm.

  2. HURRICANE KYLE INFO Saturday September 27, 2008. The storm was upgraded to a minimal Catagory 1 Hurricane this afternoon. The track has been fairly consistant with our earlier modeling and will be responsible for very heavy surf and heavy rain with coastal gusts to 50 MPH from Virginia to New Jersey tonight and early Sunday. Persons from Long Island, New York through most of coastal New England and Maritime Canada will be hit with near hurricane force winds and flooding rains Sunday into Monday.
