  1. Named Storm Claudette

Tropical Storm Claudette formed in the Florida Keys from Tropical Depression # 4. This storm will be a thunderstorm and heavy rain event for the Gulf Coast and panhandle of Florida and the coastal regions of Alabama and southeastern Mississippi over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Persons may experience low lands flooding and gusty winds in the thunderstorms. Persons near Apalachicola, Florida and St. George Island, Florida, are being urged to listen carefully to local official instructions and advisories for high surf, flooding and island evacuations. The Intracoastal Waterway bridge will be closed if winds exceed 45 MPH sustained.

This will be our only Tropical Storm Claudette posting because of the relatively short duration of this storm.
