  1. Modern Gospel

    Hi all.
I've been watching a few videos of Paul Washer recently and he seems to be talking truth.
I thought the sinners prayer was the way to get saved, and there is no Biblical basis for that.

Here are 2 of the videos I like most.

    What do you think?
  2. Actually, the basis for the sinner's prayer is very simple. The Pharisee and the tax collector prayed at the Temple. The tax collector prayed, "Lord be merciful to me a sinner." And Jesus says that he was justified, forgiven by God. What's important is the attitude of one's heart, not the specific words that come from one's mouth.

Rom. 10:10 "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Salvation is not a formula, salvation is a person - Jesus! Hallelujah.

And one day, "Every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." Phil.2.10

  3. Hi " Born " .... where have you been ? Yes this Paul Washer is preaching the Truth .... And he is telling us in N America that there are a lot of churches that are just sugar coating the gospel and trying to make people feel good .

Where he says about the " old people" and the gospel that was preached in our time .... note my time ... I can relate to what he is saying cause the gospel was preached then and people knew that they were sinners and came running to the alters ... we were having Holy Ghost prayer meetings where we didn't even know what time it was and the alters stayed open ... This is the kind of gospel that brings people in off the streets cause they want to know what is going on in that church . Oh and by the way we were called " Holy Ghost rollers ".. Hell was preached and brimstone . How many churches preach about Hell for fear of the congregation not coming back ..... Hmmm Give me the old time religion .... It's good enough for me . Not this modern stuff . The modern stuff does not save.

I am so happy to say that the church I attend is getting back to this preaching and Baptism of the Holy Ghost .... Praise God .
  4. I watched a sermon from him last or 2 weeks ago. It was very true. After he preached that, the church told him never to come back to that church ever again.
  5. The proverbs speaks to this, but you'd hope there'd be less fools in the house than wise ;)
