Ever tried to make an IKEA bookshelf without looking at the instruction book?
Complain that the LEGO
Model didn’t look the same
When built as the one on the box
Because you thought you knew better where the pieces fit,
And didn’t open the instruction book and follow the instructions
Didn’t identify each piece
saw where each pieces fits,
And in what order to build up
The master piece
Promised on the box
You drool over the picture
of the cake in the recipe book
Collect all the ingredients
Followed the preparation instructions to the letter
it looks exactly as it did in the book
But think you know better
and cook it at too higher a temperature because you were running out of time
And decided that
Because you were in a hurry
It would just cook quicker
But trolling the author, giving a bad review
When cutting your burnt top soggy bottomed creation
That looked nothing like the book a complete disaster
complaining why does God allow famine, war, disaster
They went and lived their life and did it ‘My Way!’
Forgetting to read the instruction book
And do it ‘Thy way’
And when rejected at heavens gates as damaged goods
Not fit for purpose,
Rejected by the master,
And asked what they could have done?
No one told them they were wrong?
After getting it all wrong
Was it then they decided to look at the Makers handbook and read the instructions?
Just sit down with paper and pen to take notes before starting
