Love always has hope

Discussion in 'Bible Study' started by surrendersacrifice, Aug 26, 2009.

  1. Love always has hope

Love always has hope. It, therefore, never condemns another person. It can even alter destiny and change an evil person to a good person. God, therefore, never gives up on us; and even gave up His life in order to save us from sin. There are, therefore, countless accounts of sinners who became saints. Jesus did not give up on Judas although He knew that He would betray Him. He hoped that Judas would reject sin by following Him. He, therefore, brought him into His inner circle of friends. Unfortunately, Judas rejected His friendship by choosing a path of selfishness.
  2. Very good Sir. A lot of Bible verses would agree w/ you. :)

    Biblically correct again :)

Yup, Judas was even made treasurer because of that hope.

And even until the end, they would still stay together:

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
  3. It has always amazed me the Lord God has for us no matter what....no matter what we do or who we are Jesus died for each and every person on the face of this earth..nor all will accept that great gift but He loves them non the less.

I know that it must pain His heart for those who walk the other way, but I also stop and think..I was once that person also. And I am so glad he never walked away from me but kept right on calling and drawing me byHis Spirit. In Him there is hope, tender mercies and a love beyond all we could ever imagine.

  4. My Pastor use to say, "Where there's breath there's hope."

Well, I agree and understand his statement, however I wish to re-prhrase that and say . . .

"Where there is love there is hope."

  5. For God is Love... Love encompasseth all Rom 13:8-10
  6. Well done IHL, and yes, that is biblically accurate:

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
    1 Cor 13

  8. Amen ... I like that IHL .... .... and yes love is the key . Love befan in the world with our God ...... In the beginning .... and ends with God .... the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end . What greater love did Jesus Christ have than to lay down His life for us . In return He asks us to love our neibour as ourselves.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

    On these two commandments…

    Matthew 22:37-40

    Amen brother.

Without hope, we are just singing in the rain.
