Lets Talk About Zombies And Aliens In The Bible

  1. Your comment had me thinking Mitspa.. I was skimming through the news the other day.. Did you know the government is preparing for a zombie apocalypse? Even the bible talks about zombies - "During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them."

Someone who can't die? That sounds like the definition of a zombie. Now for the aliens lets take a look at the whole passage, and not use any real commentary:

The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).

It says they came down to earth, so that means they're somewhere from outer space. They had human faces, but the body of a horse? Then it says the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. My guess is these scorpion horses were riding around in helicopters during the vision. Since he saw them inside the helicopter he assumed the whole helicopter was apart of their body, but thats what came to mind when it said the wings sounded like thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle.

Thats my random thought for the day.. What do you guys think?
  2. I think you are on a good track.

I have believed since I was a girl that the reference to scorpions was John's description of hordes of helicopters.

I do differ with the mention of aliens, as I do believe that they are demonic beings reserved for eons to do the will of God in judgment over the nations.

I do disagree with the idea of zombies, but I will say that the antichrist will most definitely capitalize on the massive event of the resurrection of the saints to bring fear into the hearts of men, mesmerize world governments, and thus be able to subdue and gain worldwide control.
  3. Prophecy is of no private interpretation... when we do try, we might miss the real deal because it doesn't fit our interpretation...
  4. I guess it would depend on your definition of zombies, and your interpretation of the part where it says they will seek death but not find it.

For the alien part, I agree with you that whatever these horse people are, they are demonic beings. I'm putting them in the category of aliens based on the biblical description of them. We know they can't be omnipresent. It also says they came down to earth, and mentions a star.. So we know they aren't the same as the demons that have already been here. They're able to physically torment people. Maybe they're not "aliens" but I think the people that see them, who are most likely nonbelievers(if you believe in pre-rapture) , will call them aliens.
  5. So whats your interpretation of the passage?
  6. It's unearthly and men will seek death but will not find it just as it says. Anything else is again of private interpretation.
  7. Absolutely, the Antichrist will capitalize on the whole notion of aliens and zombies. The unbelieving world is being prepped right now, thanks to his manipulations in Hollywood, so that when these things occur, the entire remaining world on earth will be shaken and overcome with fear. The devil glories in this thought, and it is his mission to bring this all about. It won't take much for the rising world leader to convince the world of these things, and to explain away the resurrection of millions of people as a mass alien abduction.

As for the extrapolation into 'zombiedom', I won't go there. People will simply be so vexed and in pain that they will desire death, but their fear of what is to come for them will keep them alive, yet suffering.
  8. Maybe this rapture will happen at the exact same time when a third of the world gets burned up. So the remaining people will assume it happened when a third of the world is burned up. Or what if the rapture happens right after death?
  9. The rapture of the Church takes place before these cataclysmic events occur.

    What do you mean, here?

  10. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but I think there is a strong debate for pre and post rapture.
  11. I've been involved in several. However the woes spoken of in Revelation are not for the Body of Christ, but for the unbelieving world, and your thread pertains to that time....Tribulation.
  12. [IMG] Crazy.

John called the vehicles horses that looked like locusts because the horse was his only experience for swift transport.
  13. maybe spaceships?
  14. I don't consider that term. They'll be vehicles, but not "alien" vehicles. The earth will be in a whole new dispensation with never-before-seen phenomena occurring.
  15. You'll credit the term vehicles but not spaceship? Why beloved?
  16. Well in Vietnam the US had 12000 active helicopters. These aren't all attack helicopters like the Apache and Cobra. Now you take that number times all the major military's in the world, there could be alot. Remember there will be a one world government and it will have everyone's military.
Where is the Messiah likes this.
  17. Because the term, 'spaceship' lends to the hoopla surrounding the secular belief about aliens. There are no aliens, but there are demons.
  18. I agree there will be a one world government. And it says these locust type creatures came down to earth. And they're torturing people so its probably these aliens vs all of the people that are left, which won't be Christians because we are raptured up
  19. One world government?...never heard of that!
And how did you get my quote on this thread?
