  1. Its interesting, I learned the other day that homosexual tendencies is grounds for annulment in the RCC.

As for warning gays. The Methodists have a pretty gentle way of approaching this. The main point is that we provide gays or ex-gays resources to help them if they desire to change or live a celebrate life. Though I think this is actually quite rare an occurrence.

If someone doesn't want to change, I don't think screaming in their face that their going to hell is going to solve that.

In the end I don't really think that its the act necessarily that damns us, its the state of the heart. If someone is very arrogant in their ways they will blasphemy the Holy Spirit and that's what will damn them. Someone who is open to God's will can be forgiven though.

I don't think Paul's list is either exhaustive or definitive, and God will ultimately be the judge of a person heart.

  2. I don't believe it's a sin. I believe it's normal variation of human sexuality, and so do most scientists.
If you think it's a choice, let me ask you when you chose to be straight.

  3. I could care less about what some organization says. The God I worship can change eye color.

  4. Find me an example and then we can talk further. Until that time I think we are deadlocked. I'm going with 21st century medicine and science on this subject.

  5. God created man to be with a woman and woman to be with man. That is how we are created, that is biblical.

  6. That is fine you stick with science and I'll stay with truth from scripture.

  7. Oh, I just love statistics and those who throw them around without offering proof of either the statistic or the group making them and their validity. So we're just supposed to moan and lie back in awe, give up our understanding of the world, and stop breathing. Not this little chickadee! I am unimpressed. Just disgusted.

  8. The only problem with that is that in the real world as we know it and in all species we see homosexuality occurring, so you better find some way to account for that. Are all those species "sinning"?

  9. You give up easily. You don't want to dig a little deeper and learn that more lately, science has learned that our activities can and do change DNA?

  10. Why is this statistic shocking? I've heard it before too.

  11. Because too many of us are Gerber People: we just open ourselves up and swallow whatever we're fed.

  12. Why don't we stick with the subject at hand, which I see has changed from Kirk Cameron to homosexuality? Here's a little science link for you. The question is, what will you do with it? Will you say that they are "deceived" and deceiving others, or is this just an inconvenient fact?

  13. And if you're one of those people who are going to talk about how the APA was "lobbied" by gay activists, there are at least ten other links I could provide that will tell you the same thing.

  14. ???? Oh, my! The pot calls this kettle black!

  15. But what about the Bible? Is it wrong then? Should I dismiss all that it says?

Science can't prove Jesus was resurrected on the third day. So, if I should stick to science and disregard the bible, why be a Christian? Because it's impossible to come back from the dead.

    And homosexuality is ok then.

Ro 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And God can't do miracles. He can't change a gay person. Heck why believe in God?

  16. Other species? Are you for real? You are placing other species in the same category as humans?

  17. I have no idea if the Bible's wrong - maybe the full meaning can't be known, since "homosexuality" wasn't even a word until the 1800s - but I know science is right. They study this stuff and watch it occur throughout the animal kingdom. Are these animals "making a choice", or are they just wired a certain way? And why would we be any different? It's true that we are different from animals, but I am talking about choices. In nature you do not choose your attraction. I'm sorry, I know this isn't what people who have been raised to think homosexuality is evil will want to hear. But you can't argue with what you see with your own eyes and what science tells us.

What do you think that means? Or we interpret that wrong?

  19. I'm talking about natural attractions. In the animal kingdom, are they choosing, or are they simply attracted? Why would you tell me with a straight face that you think homosexuals choose this when no one in his right mind WOULD? Have you ever had a conversation with a gay person?

  20. I did not choose to be heterosexual. It was who I was. I loved females.

There was not a day that I ever said, that I will choose women over men. I just naturally gravitated to it.

God made me a heterosexual. There was no choice.

God makes a lot of people, blondes, dark-skinned, almond eyed, hare-lip, dwarfism, etc.

Are we all born of sin? You bet.
Can we all overcome sin? Not without The King.
Can a gay ask The King to help overcome his nature? You bet.
Can a homosexual that has been strengthen by the power of The King to resist the temptation of gay sex enter The Kingdom? Yes.

We are all creatures of sin. The King can help with that if we place faith into that.
