Got to make ready
So much to do
So little time to do it,

Got to be ready
Can’t start anything new
Must rush will I have enough time to finish?

No one knows the time when it’ll happen,

I’ve oil in abundance and wicks trimmed ready
It will be the middle of the night somewhere
If it’s here must be ready,
when
Jesus comes again
My spirit is willing
But my body’s flagging
It’s tiring being in constant vigilance, waiting…

Minds distracted
Nothings changed
Can’t be bothered to check
If I’m ready
The oil is still full to overflowing
Just for today I’ll not bother,
I’ll live on yesterday’s blessing…

The sparkles gone with all this waiting,
Got to concentrate on my day Job
Can’t just sit around waiting,

Think I plan a vacation
Just incase I’m still here
And not been taken up to heaven,

With my hand to the plough
And no distractions,
Decided not to just hang around star gazing,
Jesus is coming again
I’ll plant seeds of faith
And look to tomorrow
Could be time for a great harvest to be brought into heaven, Before
Jesus comes again
Maybe He’s waiting for us to
Complete His commission, to
‘Go into the world and preach the gospel?’
