Jesus in My..

Discussion in 'Doctrinal Discussions' started by BarElohim, Oct 29, 2017.

  1. Jesus is My God, my father, my savior, my Lord, my advocate, my elder brother, my friend, my shepherd, my peace, my righteousness, my holiness, my Rose of Sharon, my light, my teacher, my justification, my justifier, my healer, my king, my champion, my captain, my lily of the valley, my high priest, my husband ,and on and on it goes. He is my life, He is my all in all, whatever He is, I am also, because I am in Him, and He is in me..

Therefore I can say with Paul it is no more I that live, but Christ that lives in me. He has been revealed to me, and through me. For I die daily.

And I have seen Him, not optically but have come to, comprehend, understand, and know Him.

  2. Hello BarElohim;

This is very enlightening, thank you, brother. What you shared reminds me when we peel away everything in our lives and all thats left is Jesus, what a relief, eh?

You forgot one thing at the end of your thread, you! You are a blessing to Christ who lives in you and your new friends here at CFS.

I have to sign off and get ready for worship service this morning.

I appreciate your fellowship and sharing from your heart with us. Good discussions. Keep writing.

God bless you, BarElohim and your family.

  3. Bob. I'm going to share a revelation the Lord gave many years ago that is very relevant for today. Years back when I was young in the Lord, I was working for a (Doukabour/Russian) family at thier cedar mill. And when it was time to get paid he wanted to pay me cash or chegue. Now you have to know that Doukabours hate the government, because they don't mind using the government but they hate having to give them any money. So while he was explaining this to me, I was asking the Lord what I should do. Well to make the Doukabour happy I asked for cash.
Well I didn't get two steps outside the door, when the Lord said to me....." Did you do right?" I responded with "Well I was asking you what I should do, and you never answered a word!" Now here is the important part to what the Lord said next....

He said " When you know the right thing to do, I don't need to tell you what to do!""

Now over the years of the Lord teaching me about His righteousness, I have grown to where He doesn't have to tell me the right thing to do. I will know what is right, and do it. And today I can do what I know to be right, and know He will back me up as I do.

Paul in 1 Cor 7:12 and 25 and 40 gives his opinion, and he verifies this by saying...25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: but I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be trustworthy.

Now this is where every Christian should be heading. Other wise they are still only in the milk.

Heb. 5: 12 For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
13 For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.
14 But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
  4. Please tell us how you have trained your senses to know what the right thing to do is.

Some thirty years or so, My Lord showed me something in the scriptures as I was reading, " ....You have seen me!" Stuck out to where I said, ' how have I seen you Lord? In a brother or sister, in a dream? For two days I pondered this, and then I found a pamphlet on our kitchen table. None in the family knew from where or how it came to be. But as I picked it Up and started to read I came across this { to see;to comprehend, to understand, to know.} And then I knew it wasn't anything I saw optically, but spiritually.

Paul knew that he could give an opinion in matters that he didn't get from the Lord.
'But he knew, comprehended, and understood the mind of the Lord also.
[ 1Cor. 7;25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: but I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be trustworthy.

1 Cor 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

It isn't a matter or "training" the mind, it is just a matter of " renewing the Spirit of the mind!

Romans 12: 2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

As we grow in maturity In Christ, part of His nature is Righteousness, and that is part of our new nature as well, for " We are the Righteousness of the Lord, In Him!"

  6. Though I fail to so how to aid the employer to avoid paying tax and keeping your job by doing so is the right thing to do, I still do not know how you know it was the right thing to do.
    (my underlining)

How do you grow in maturity in Christ is what I would like to know.
  7. I have been partaking of the Word, which is spiritual food, for a long time. I don't mean just reading it, but doing it..
I don't know what else to tell you. He said, His word is Spirit and Life. I guess I really started to grow In Him when He became My Lord. I knew that I was lord 98% of the time and He was only 2% of the time, and I didn't want it that way. SO I said to Him... Lord I am lord too much of the time, I want you to be Lord all the time 24/7. And He said, " I will My son, one day at a time!" Well it has been quite awhile He still isn't 24/7, but an 8 out of 10 is fair.

He doesn't take Lordship, He must be given Lordship.. When we do as He asks, He is lord in the matter.

  8. At one time it was hard for me to understand that I am holy and righteous since I am so far away from being either of these things.
I had to stop and really think on this and grasp it, but Jesus is holy and righteous. When Christ redeemed us and healed us we became what He is. Therefore, we are holy and righteous because of what He did for us and because He is in us.

It's a wonderful journey learning and growing in the Lord.

  9. We are totally reliant on Him. For all that He is, we are made to be perfect images. We may not see it all at once, but from Glory to Glory we are being transformed in to that perfect image..... Hallelujah......

  10. At 11:00 am every day each person in my bible group stops and prays wherever we may be. We all pray at the same time each day for Transformation in our lives.....we have been doing this for maybe 2 months and we can see differences in our lives with us transforming.
  11. "If the willingness is present it is enough".' The Lord sees the heart, and if the heart is willing to be changed that is all He is looking for! Beside that He put that desire in your hearts in the first place, so He will see its fulfillment. Amen

  12. I know you know this CoffeeDrinker, but to confirm what you folks are praying for.

1 John 5: 14 And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:((( now we know that this is His will for every believer )))
15 and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. ((( then we can know for sure that we have the petitions we been praying for.)))
