James 1:26-27

James 1:26-27 King James Version (KJV)
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:26-27

BBE26If a man seems to have religion and has no control over his tongue but lets himself be tricked by what is false, this man's religion is of no value.27The religion which is holy and free from evil in the eyes of our God and Father is this: to take care of children who have no fathers and of widows who are in trouble, and to keep oneself untouched by the world.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

26 Religion simply believes something and trying to follow after it, we as Christians are called to relationship with the Lord not to religion. People that are religious may watch their tongue while people who they want to look good in front of are around but we as Christians are to watch are tongue because we represent our Father. Religion leads to hell only by Christ do we enter into glory.

27 We live by Him this is what are to do have ways to serve Him, the system of how we serve Jesus is religion but we have the relationship with our ways if we don’t it is meaningless. We are to care for those who can’t care for themselves and live different then the world, for the Lord.
