It is for freedom that Christ has set us free - Galatians 5:1 [NIV]
I have read this passage many times, and it is indeed beautiful. When I read it again the other week, I felt so much joy in reading this single line, for what Christ has truly done for us.
It is for freedom! It is for freedom! It is for FREEDOM! I kept repeating it with joy, and I encourage others to meditate on this freedom throughout the day in thanksgiving.
Being set free from the curse of sin and death by the grace of God, and living in that freedom by which Christ has made us free every single day, is truly something to be thankful for and to continue in, standing firm through 'faith' until Christ returns.
Therefore, as a word of encouragement in preaching the Word: "my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:58 [NIV]
