  1. INFO: October 28 - 31 / Rip Current Danger

A strong cold front is moving off the east coast of the United States today. The clockwise circulation of winds related to this front will produce on-shore winds, high surf and the possibility of strong rip currents from the Georgia-South Carolina border to the Miami, Florida, area. Persons are being urged to stay out of known rip current areas while swimming in the Atlantic coastal areas of these states and to heed the Flag Warnings posted on beaches throughout coastal Georgia and Florida. These warnings will remain in effect through mid week and possibly longer. Monitor your local news media for specific local information.
