  1. INFO: Friday to Monday, September 21 to 24, 2007

The upper level low pressure area that has been giving the nothern 2/3 of Florida some drenching rains for the past several days has moved into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. It will combine with a surface low pressure area today and strengthen somewhat.

Persons from Apalachicola, Florida, to near New Orleans, Louisiana, can expect heavy rains, gusty winds, some tornadic activity, lowlands flooding and frequent cloud to ground lightning this weekend. Monitor your local media and NOAA Weather Broadcasts for specific watches and warnings posted for your local coastal areas.
