  1. INFO: December 22-25, Upper Midwest USA

A strong cold front will be migrating easterly today from south central Ontario. As this front colloides with the relatively warm Gulf of Mexico humidity that has been carried north, the result will be rains initially in Illinois and eastern Wisconsin, followed by a dramatic cool down Saturday evening and near-blizzard conditions on the back side of the frontal area. Winter Weather Warnings are in effect for nearly all of Wisconsin, the U.P. of Michigan and northern Illinois for later today into mid day Sunday. These warnings will also be issued for Michigan and parts of Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania over the next 48 to 60 hours. Travel will become difficult in the warning areas and persons are being advised to stay home if at all possible.
