  1. Illness

I know that God has answered many of my prayers regarding my health. Is it possible that at the same time, satan can still use that illness against you?

  2. Hi, Violet, it's good to (virtually) see you, :) I haven't been around for a while I hope you are doing ok. Praise God for healing you, that's just awesome!!! :D

Being a new Christian I am still learning, and I'm sure you and a lot of others here know waay more than I do!, but I'll try ;) I may not have the right words in this, so please excuse me if I am wrong, but here is what I think...Satan can "try" (and very, very likely will) to use the illness against you especially when things are going so well, which is when he likes to strike even harder, and he will give it ALL he has got. The key word here is try. The low down devil will try, but that doesn't mean he will suceed (sp?) just pray, pray pray, thanking the Lord in advance and having faith (Like I know you alread will) that your health will remain good and "know" that the devil will not win this battle, that God is on your side, and your not about to be fearful of him. This may sound crazy but tell the devil these things. I tell him off all the time, I love terrorizing Satan. :)

I hope this has helped, like I said, I'm so new at this, also I am a little tired so forgive me if I rambled/repeated myself.

    God Bless you

  3. TJ, Bless your heart~
Yes, God has led me to find my cure but I still suffer symptoms and I wonder if it is just me that does not let myself get better.
I have many fears in my life I am afraid to face and keep myself down, you know?
Thank you very much for your loving response.
I need to take more responsibility in standing up to satan!
    Love, Violet~

  4. Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

While satan ceratinly plans all for our bad God turns all for our good- mediate on the lyrics below:

    Sometimes He Calms the Storm
All who sail the sea of faith
    Find out before too long
How quickly blue skies can grow dark
    And gentle winds grow strong
Suddenly fear is like white water
    Pounding on the soul
    Still we sail on knowing
That our Lord is in control

    Sometimes He calms the storm
With a whispered peace be still
    He can settle any sea
But it doesn't mean He will
    Sometimes He holds us close
And lets the wind and waves go wild
    Sometimes He calms the storm
And other times He calms His child

He has a reason for each trial
That we pass through in life
    And though we're shaken
We cannot be pulled apart from Christ
No matter how the driving rain beats down
On those who hold to faith
A heart of trust will always
    Be a quiet peaceful place
  5. My dear Violet,

We are all human and we all have doubts and fears at some time in our lives but we also know that fear does not come from the Lord as I have proved in my life. For you know that
God has not given us a spirit of fear but a sound mind and
I know that He will complete the work He has done in your life and trials will come but rest in Him and take the time to just bask in His presence and I know He will bring you the rest of the way so that you can be a testimony of His good ness and grace. Continue to praise Him for what He has done and victory is yours dear sister. Claim it and proclaim it.

I love you Violet ,and God loves you even more. Blessings to you and your family.:israel::israel:

  7. Bro. Larry, that is beautiful and so true.
    Thank you, very much~

  8. HI Violet!
    Fear....that big bully....
but, Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in this world! :amen:

and, I can do ALL things through CHRIST who strenghtens ME!
  9. I love you too, Dusty and Thank you, very much.......
  10. Angel, you're a sweetheart~ Thank you.
    And you are so right!

  11. Dear violet
Are you a follower of the word of faith movement teaching, you know the name it and claim it Gospel, the prosperity Gospel, people like the copelands, creflo dollar and the like.
And one other question how do you believe you are healed, if you still have the symptoms of your illness, would this not indicate you are still ill.?

    God Bless
  12. I don't watch TV so I don't know many names in TV ministry.
On the other hand, I do know we can move a mountain with faith the size of a mustard seed.

I believe that is what God teaches us through His word.
I also believe that prayer without faith is fruitless.

Why do I think I am healed?
    Because I'm not dead.

Please read my initial and second post again~
    God bless you.
  13. Thank you for your encouragement, everyone! God bless you, always~
  14. I'm glad to hear this Violet. :)

(And thanks to those who posted the scripture and that song on the last page, I appreciated it!)
  15. Dear Violet,

You are such a blessing to us here. Satan knows his days are numbered and he tries to attack us anyway he can, but greater is he who is with us than against us. I too have been fighting illness and I'm usually very healthy, I think the illness was more of a spiritual attack than a physical illness. I was having nightmares, which I never have. I found that if I spend a half an hour praying for God's protection before I sleep, that I have pleasant dreams instead of bad. God is so good, he gives us what we need, we just have to ask.
  16. Romans 5:3 (New International Version)

    3Not only so, but we[a] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;

    1. Romans 5:3 Or let us
  17. Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Satan and his kingdom have one goal- to wear out the saints but we will not weary in well doing! Instead we will find times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; As we abide in the vine and the very life of God flows into our spirit bearing witness that we are the children of God-as we abide more still we become filled to overflowing and out of our innermost beings begans to flow rivers of living water- touching and restoring all the dead and dried up things we contact- now comes the peace that passes understanding, now comes the knowledge of the love of God which is beyond human comprehension- at last we understand that we have been given all things pertaining to life and godliness. All provision has been made- the full price has been paid- the presence of the very Living God now dwells in us- we cannot fail- selah
  18. You are so right Boanerges. Satan tries to wear us out but God gives us times of refreshing. The last week, I have had serious battles but I turn to God in prayer and he delivers me, not by my strength, but by his. Between battles he leads me to green pastures, beside the still waters, he restores my soul. He dries my tears and gives me joy even laughter.
  19. Amen Don and I am glad you are doing better!
  20. Praise God Don, You know that God sees our tears and He bottles them up. In our deepest valley, He is there if we will only reach out and take His Hand. God is closer to us in the times of storm than when everything is going smoothly. Each battle we face makes us stronger for the next one that comes along. We just have to put our whole trust in Him, knowing that He knows the beginning to the end and has a plan for our lives and though we are going through the fire that is to refine us so we will come out as pure gold. God's richest Blessing to you as you walk this awesome journey with Jesus Christ , our Lord and Master.
