Humbled?

I don't fully understand what it means to be humbled before God. I think I might have hit that place today in my prayers and healing from my past. I am curious to know what other members thoughts are on this subject.

Letting it go and giving it to God; usually that means getting 'self' out of the way as the other two posters above eluded too.

Being humble, or 'meek' (meekness/ lowly in heart) is not making much of ourselves, but serving others-serving God. Joy comes form the ability to give yourself away and serve others in love. Christ being the ultimate example of 'humility' on the cross.

Serve Him:

Galatians 5:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

All Christians should desire to be humble, but nobody likes to be humbled, just as everyone desires patience, but nobody likes being taught the lesson to causes them to become patient.
