Hey, I've spent years on various political forums under a different screen name, and have managed to burn out on them. I have a great aversion to any organized religion, aside from what I perceive to be a cult like atmosphere, they also seem to be a gathering place for collectivists of all stripes. To date, I still have not found the New Testament verse in which Jesus instructs us to follow anything other than Him and His Teachings. Perhaps it is the advanced sense of justice in me, that caused the years long fanatic devotion to effecting a paradigm shift in society through the understanding of deceptions perpetrated on humans by both preachers and politicians. While I understand our oppressive and tyrannical government is aggressively holding an organizations status hostage, I am equally repulsed by church "leaders" willingness to avoid any controversy, and instead cultivate weekly messages designed to generate maximum profit through guilt and Word perversion. I feel that unless the core issue of the founding principals are truthfully addressed, we are destined for self-destruction as a nation. I did not come here intent on discussing politics, but it is politics that have destroyed Americas Christian ethic under the guise of "correctness". Yes, I am passionate about that, but I have also realized the steady diet of focused discussions has cost me dearly. I do not yearn for what may be the coming contention among Americans, praying instead for enlightenment and collusion. I had hoped to end the centuries long hypocrisy, and instead battered my spirit. Perhaps I have said too much, I feel I have said too little. I am seeking shelter from the storm.
