  1. How to Receive the Holy Spirit Baptism with evidence of other tongues

How to Receive the Baptism of the Holy with the initial physical evidence of other tongues

First of all lets take care of anything that may hinder you from receiving.

Set aside what you have heard about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, all preconceived ideas, and denominations traditions, and lets just look at what the Bible says.

You must believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is real and for you, and that you will speak in tongues when your receive. Don’t doubt or you won’t receive. We receive by faith, not feelings, just like when we got save

There is nothing to fear. Every good gift comes from the Father, so when you ask your Father for the Holy Spirit He will only give you what is good, for all He has is good.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.l

Someone who is not saved cannot receive the Holy Spirit.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Romans 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”[a](that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

To make sure you are born again, ready for heaven and in right fellowship with the God, repeat this prayer outloud and mean it with all your heart.

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God and that You died for me and rose from and dead so I can be saved. I turn from sin and ask you to be the Lord of every part of my life. Thank you for forgiving all my sins. Help me live a life that is pleasing to you.

If you have repented and received Jesus, that is all that is necessary to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We do not pray or beg God to give us the Holy Spirit. He was pouring out into this world on the day of Pentecost and is already here. Now it’s up to us to ASK Jesus baptize us with the Holy Spirit and RECEIVE Him.

Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost

First they receive the gospel preached and were saved; then they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 8:17Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The Spirit will not overwhelm you and force you say something. It said THEY spoke, YOU do the speaking. You use your mouth, tongue and lift your voice just like you do anytime you speak. It won’t be like a radio playing out of your mouth. He only gives you the words or sounds and you cooperate with Him by speaking it out; sounds, broken syllables, or phrases, whatever He gives you, as He moves and puts words upon your lips and tongue. It can be a full language or just few words, as a child learns only a few words at a time. It doesn’t matter keep speaking and He will give you more.

Someone who have received the baptism can lay hands on you and pray that you receive now. As soon as hands are laid on you expect the Holy Spirit will come up on you and you will speak in tongues.

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Jesus said to drink and you can’t drink with your mouth closed, you open your mouth and take it in. It may seem it comes up and out of you.

In Acts 16 Paul laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they spoke with tongues.

Have someone who have received the baptism pray for you and you repeat the prayer with them. Close you eyes, lift your hands in surrender, asking Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and say : “As soon as hands are laid on me I expect the Holy Spirit will come up on me and I will receive and speak in tongues'

When hands are laid on you , take a deep breath, as if receiving Him into you, filling you up and as you breathe out, the overflow come out in tongues as you speak out the sounds the Holy Spirit gives you.

Everyone’s experience is different so don’t be hindered by expecting it to be spectacular. It’s not a feeling, but by faith, like everything else we do. It is receiving and yielding in cooperation with the Spirit, speaking it out sounds or syllables what He gives you as He moves on your lips and tongue. It can be a few words or a lot, that doesn’t matter just keep speaking them and he will give you more.

Don’t talk in English if that is the language you always speak, nor any language you have learned. This will be a supernatural language you have never known how to speak. You can’t talk two languages at once, only speak out the sounds, words He gives you. It does not matter how it sounds to you, the Lord knows what you are saying.

After you receive and pray in tongues the devil whispers in everyone’s ear and says its t not real or it was just you. He tries to make you think that to get you to quit praying in tongues because its powerful and he doesn’t know what you are saying. It was the words of the Holy Spirit you were speaking. Don’t believe him, he is a liar

You can pray in tongues when ever you want just like when you want to pray in English ( or known native language). When you are alone with the Lord, worship Him and the Holy Spirit is in you to flow out again when you yield and speak out in faith, trusting Him to give you the utterance.
  2. Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God and that You died for me and rose from and dead so I can be saved. I turn from sin and ask you to be the Lord of every part of my life. Thank you for forgiving all my sins. Help me live a life that is pleasing to you

probably say hi Jesus im sorry of all my sins please can you help me,and please God can you send me the holy spirit .
  3. I'd say that's the main point .

    Galatians 3

1You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? 3Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?

The rest gleans some good points also . thank you Godspeaks .
  4. Yes you can say that too but I wouldn't leave the other parts oum, since that is what the Bible says. :)

An important point is many people admit and and say they are sorry for their sins all the time, but they do not repent, which means to turn away from sin and turn to Jesus following Him completely, which is what it means for Him to be their Lord.
  5. Thanks Michael. I was trying to cover most of the things that help a person to yield and receive from the Lord. It seems to be different things for different people that might hinder them.
  6. Everyone is unique, wonderfully and fearfully made, so i would tend to agree :)
  7. Thank you GodSpeaks for this very helpful thread for those who are hungering and thirsting for more of God . Your thorough explanation is simple and straightforward . Any one who desires a deeper walk with the Lord can ask and receive and like you siad it is not a denoninational thing like a lot of people say or think . It is the very power of God ministered to us through the Holy Spirit . It is for all believers who have accepted Jesus Christ and is the fulfillment of His promise to empower his people .

In order to grow in the Word and in relationship and oness with our Saviour this infilling should be every one's desire . God wants us to be Spirit filled Christians . Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6: 19 .

On the day of Penticost 120 disciples ( commited followers of Jesus) were filled with the Holy Spirit .... Acts 2:4 . This fulfilled the promise Christ had made to them a few days earlier . He said " John baptised with water , but in a few days you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit Acts 1:5

But this initial experience of being baptised in the Holt Spirit is only the beginning of a lifelong expereince . God wants us to remain filled with the Spirit.

The initial evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is , speaking in tongues Acts 2: 4 :10 : 46 .
  8. the holy spirit does the work, takes time.not an instant non sin free zone.anyway sin is not to believe on the Lord.not eating banafi pudding.
  9. Based on the verses we have mentioned I believe the initial physical evidence is speaking in tongues.
Then there will be other evidences, the power, and even greater love and joy, deeper revelation, among other things. It's like a doorway into a power plant with all the equipment we will need.
