  1. Before I post this, sorry if it's in the wrong section.

In the short time I've been on this forum the biggest thing I've noticed is the strict line of division between denominations. The denominations bash each other thinking they're in the right and the others aren't.

John 13:35 says "They will know you are my disciples by the love you show." We're all in the same run for the same thing; eternal life with Jesus in Heaven. Why are the different denominations slamming each other? That's not showing love. We shouldn't be concerned about who prays to Mary, what kind of music the others worship God to, or even how they do communion. Shouldn't we be concerned about fulfilling the great commission Jesus sent us on to save the lost?

  2. Thank you! Totally agree! God bless you!
  3. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  4. God bless you for saying what has been on my mind... we are all one those that follow the 'Way' the path of Christ and we should all be discussing, talking to each other as followers of Christ, not as non believers do to us... but instead of discussion there are some which think they have the only truth, they have the only knowledge given them by God... when instead in humbleness and love we should discuss the Word, the scriptures in the Bible and with love, which is what distinguishes the followers of Christ from those that don't ...

Jhn 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

  5. It is a shame there is so much difference.....But we are not ALL in the same run for the same thing.
If you love people you'll not only spread God's love but, warn of His coming wrath upon the ungodly. I'd like to be able to embrace all denominations and stand around the fire and sing Cumbayah with them- but I cannot. There are groups that not only pray to Mary but endorse the homosexual lifestyle, in fact even some are ministers. If this doesn't matter to you......That is your choice.
If you saw somebody in a burning car and there was a possibility you could save their life wouldn't you try to rescue them ?
People are saved by TRUTH ! Jesus said that He was the Way, the TRUTH and the Life.
    John 8:32

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Why you attacking David? He is following scripture. The question you need to be asking is...why does a loving, good, just, long-suffering, caring, merciful God who relents from sending calamity mention that homosexuals will not be in heaven in both the old and NT?

But please don't answer that here. There are a few posts discussing this matter, please go there. Perhaps cut and paste my post there and we can discuss scripture and not opinion.
  7. Oh look, people are proving my point..

  8. So when you mention ''I've noticed is the strict line of division between denominations. The denominations bash each other thinking they're in the right and the others aren't.'' you are not referring to Titus 3:9 rather mocking Titus 2:1 and ignoring 2 Tim 3:16 / 2 Tim 4:3? Care to clarify?
  9. How am I mocking Titus 2:1? As far as 2 Tim. 3:16, that has little relevance to this discussion.

The discussion on homosexuality is not a Titus 3:9 subject. So what am I to conclude from your post # 9 other then what I stated in post #10?
  11. What do you mean "Someone like you ?" Would you like to talk Bible here or just more touchy-feely emotions ?

  12. You're right. It shouldn't matter what we do to worship God, or how we pray, or even how we act as Christians.

I believe the reason all denominations fight is because they think they are right, and everyone else is wrong. Love needs to be shown here. Jesus is Love. Let's try to show more love to each other. Even if we don't believe in the same things.
  13. No, We all don't take the Rodney King stance or Pope's saying..... "Can't we all just get along"

Your Mary example. It is Idolator. Zero scripture stating we pray to someone else but the Father God.

It's just an example. We can cry love, love, love all day long and some churches do, having no standard based on scriptures, Church preaching love where it's OK to have sex with one another the list goes on. As a believer I expect the best out of those that name Jesus Christ.

    2Ti 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity

Nothing in the foundation laid that says we pray to those that have passed away, or say their name 200 times with beads in our hands.

Praying to someone for example the bible never mentioned praying to is iniquity. We don't cover that up saying it's OK, you can fellowship with me and be in Idol Worship. Praying is a form of worship or asking something to help on your behalf outside of God is Idol worship.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
    (1Co 5:11)

So my love for someone does not excuse them from sin for the sake of love. I rebuke and encourage showing them scripture to correct because I love them.

  14. Yes, they are... they have no love . If they did they would speak of love with love and not with hate, always pushing their point in whatever the trigger word is mentioned... their trigger word, not ours.

Paige, always see the light of God in all and follow love as our Lord taught us all... <><
  15. Not my opinions, you said you know what scripture says about homosexuality, then claim it is a "Dated piece of scripture"
You are the one who openly admitted using scripture for your own opinions and agendas.
Well don't worry because after all the liberals get done with the Bible there won't be any sin anymore.
Sin is still sin no matter what you think the Bible is NOT out dated......
    1 Corinthians 6:8-10
    New King James Version (NKJV)
8 No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

  16. This is not what Paige wanted to talk about, why bring this here when it has nothing to do with the original post as asked by Paige...? Start another post and fight this battle there, here we answer a different question.
  17. Dated Scripture? You need saved. Also timothy 2-11 is correct today as it was then.
  18. Also your lack of understanding does not change the eternal Word. That scripture does not say a women would never have a right to have authority over men. Paul traveled with a couple of women ministers whom he said receive and they were respected. Have you read Proverbs 31?
