How Do We View God?

  1. Most "wrong" understanding is formed in mans religion, the Lord came and called the religious class vipers and children of the devil. He never used the harsh words on the harlot and the tax collector! Hypocrisy is the first great evil in the eyes of the Lord, remove that log and then the other issues are made more clear.
  2. To me the "traditions of men" are the worse. The Apostle Paul warns us about them......

    Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

    The anointing (Christ) is the only thing we have as a safety net to keep us from going astray from believing error. Did the Father teach you this? Did the Word of God confirm it?, and does the Holy Spirit bear witness to it? There all ways have to have three witness's to every truth we hear. Wrong believing causes wrong actions in our lives, and we surely don't want that. Truth will all ways be tested by fire to see if it is truly real. If it survives we receive the reward, if it fails we suffer loss. If we trust in the anointing that is in us we will all ways get it right.

  3. Well My friend the strength of sin is the "law" and until one is set free from the law, they will be in bondage to sin no matter if they allow hypocrisy to blind them to that fact....even the world can see the hypocrisy of those that preach the law, and for that reason they blaspheme Gods good name!

  4. I agree fully with you here. May I speak freely....We know the strength of sin is the law, or in other words Satans right to bring accusations to God against is based on the laws of the land, which is the law. Like any prosecuting attorney he case is solely based on the law. You take away those laws and his case is useless against us and is thrown out of court. Like it tells us here.....

    Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
    Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
    Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

    Jesus destroyed the case that was against us by fulfilling the law and nailing all the accusations that Satan had against us for breaking them. Jesus "spoiled" principalities and powers. The word "spoiled" means to "disarm" Satan's main weapon against us was the Word of God (law) . The strength of sin was the law. But now we have become dead to the law through the body of Christ. The demands of death to those who broke it has been paid, because death was the penalty. We died with Christ on the cross but he did not stay dead, and since we were in him in his death , we are also alive from the dead with him and the law is satisfied and God's word stays true.
  5. Some great observations there CCW95A. (In fact I think I will bookmark this thread.)
  6. The church teaches, just like the Greeks, that God is like Zeus standing on a cloud ready to throw down a lightning bolt to the unsuspecting sinner below, or worse they make Him the god of the Harikrishnans where He loves all without consequence and all go to heaven because a loving God would never really throw anyone in Hell. Both extremes produce hypocrites and ignorant stillborns while both side present tons of scriptures boasting their belief system.

    I don't know about you, but I want to know what God is like when He's not on His throne and is at rest! I want a pure heart so I can see God face to face! We are supposed to die daily, so let His presence do so! I want to get beyond the thick dark cloud of my imperfections and press through the glass of darkness and see HIM! Fellowship with Him! He waits for us behind the veil and the only way through it is to be washed in the Blood of Jesus! Glory to God!
