Thank you all for accepting me. I am hoping to find some additional Christian support as well as give support on here. I am a 35 year old single mother of two. I was with my ex husband for 16 years & we have two beautiful kids. We have been divorced for about 4 years; speared for 5 & I did fall away from God during that time. I was in a severely abusive relationship for over 3 years & got out a year ago. As I've tried to reconnect with God it's been laid on my heart to reconcile with my ex husband. I've been struggling with this for about a week now. I am currently dating someone but my feelings for him are changing. Anyway, thats a little about me. I'll post more later in a new thread. Thanks again for the add!

    God Bless! :)

When you get the opportunity (if you have not done so already) please read through the rules so as to ensure your time here is a pleasant experience :). If you need help with anything, please don't hesitate to pm a staff member who will be very pleased to help you.

One thing I have learned from the Lord and the Holy Spirit is that when He prompts you to do something...He will give you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:13)

We will be lifting you up in prayer for the wisdom and strength to be obedient in everything He desires for you to do in your life.

Blessings of grace and peace be yours in abundance

  5. Thank you all. I appreciate the support & encouragement. The guy I have been dating is great but I am finding myself more & more unattracted to him. I've been praying for reconciliation if it's Gods will & although I know it will crush the guy I'm dating it would be a dream I never imagined possible to have my family complete again. I've found out the hard way that there is something special about Gods blessing in a first marriage that I don't believe is possible with anyone else. That's just been my personal experience. Thanks again everyone. God Bless.

Here is some food for thought.
First I do Not know what God has placed in your heart so I am only replying from what you have written.
Maybe a new thread might be in order but for now......you can chew on this. :)

If God is working in you to be reconciled with your now X Husband then keeping the guy in your life may not be a wise choice.

    1. If you are going to trust God by Faith for this then you need to trust Him in your actions and this case life.
.....A... keeping a guy on the hook for just in case it does not happen is Not True Faith or total trust.
.....B.. It won't look good unto the now X husband hanging onto the new guy.
.....C. . It won't be good for the new guy to go until you either remarry or give up.

Now then Please, Please be Totally Sure God is indeed calling you to reconciliation. I say this because it is easy , oh far too easy to feel or believe that God is indeed placing this desire in you.

Now I am Not in any way shape or form saying or claiming God is or is not behind this. I am simply saying to seek God honestly and be sure it is He who is placing this in your heart and if it is........then go forward by Faith and don't give up.

Lord God I lift my sister up to you and I (we) pray according to your word James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

According to your word Father you hear our prayer and it is always yes and amen according to your will so we thank you in Jesus name for the answer and clear direction . In The name above all names, the name of Jesus we say amen and amen.

  7. Thank you FCJ. I agree. I can start a new post tomorrow. Just to clarify a few things since the explanation has been short up until this point. I have been dating the new guy for about 8 months (he's only the 2nd guy I've dated in 5 years) & he is great to both me & my children. If I knew without a doubt that God is calling me to reconcile with my ex I would do it in a heartbeat. I'm confused. Things were going very well for me & the new guy. I have no complaints really as far as he goes. I mean he's terrific, but I have told him that I need some space to figure things out because I'm confused. So he is aware of the whole situation. I don't ever want to be deceitful or string anyone along & thankfully I am comfortable being single as my children are my first priority. My son told me on Monday that he misses his father & I living together. He's told me this multiple times before but it really started to weigh heavy on me. Way more than it ever has before. That's why I'm confused. I don't know if it's guilt that is making me think it's God speaking to me or if it's actually God calling for a reconciliation but I am praying for him to show me clearly what I need to do so that I can follow his will. I know that if I trust in God & have patience he will show me the way. That's what I am trusting in. My ex has tried reconciling several times in the past and I was never open to it. This is the first time in 5 years that I have been open to it and I am the one that is thinking about it this time not him. Again I know I could just be confused so I am just giving it time and lots of prayer . Tysm. God Bless you.
