John 5:24 (NIV)
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."
Yes one may believe Jesus is the messiah, but how can they know him if they don't hear/read his word?
It is true this might be interpreted as a one time hear and believe event. But everything Jesus says is a statement that never fades away.
Matthew 24:35
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."
This is not some dogma I want you all to feel guilty for. I am simply trying to remind you all to read Jesus word, and listen to our Lord.
