Today is the 25th of Kislev, the first day of an 8-day event celebrated even by Jesus, John 10:22. It is the time in which Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and is called the Feast of Dedication. The Word was dedicated to us by the Father, like the dedication in front of a book fill with His Word - the living Word of God.
To the Jews, this day marks the beginning of an eight day period when the Maccabees took back the temple and they only had oil enough for one day. It takes 8 days to make the oil for the temple lamp (Menorah)... they lit the lamp and it lasted 8 days.
