  1. Hallo from the Little Karoo

    Hi,

my name is Roland and I am a German living in South Africa since 1992. Why the Lord needed to send me here to save me...anybody's guess but His.

But here I am, 44 years of age, married, 2 lovely boys and loving the country a little more every day.

I have read a bit in the forum - and I guess I'll rather be a reading member. Some of this English is way to high for my humble fireplace and my limited knowledge of the English language. You always think you are fine - until you come across people like some of you guys. Some stuff I didn't even understand....wow...

Nevertheless - I like to read and learn, so that won't be a problem.

Thank you for having me and God bless!

    Greetings

    Roland

  5. Welcome from another ex South African. I know the Little Karoo reasonably well.

Don't worry about your English. We have members here from all over the world.

  8. Thank you for all your welcomes.

Nice also to meet some South Africans in exile;).

Housesitter, your Photo looks like it was taken near Matjiesrivier in front of the Swartberg mountain range - one of my favourite spots arround here. Did you take it yourself?

    Greetings

    Roland
