Hall of mirrors

Hall of mirrors

I’m in a hall mirror’s
Can’t find the right door,
all the mirrors looking back reflecting what’s happened, what’s gone before,
I don’t know which door to open,
Which path to take,
All I see is me
reflected in the mirrors
Way back into the past,
Confused disorientated
Frightened to step forward
In case I trip,
Bright lights causing refraction
Confusing my mind,
Tried to reach out for a door
Marked reality
It was not within my grasp
It’s all done with mirrors
What you see is not always there,

I close my eyes,shut out
this illusion of mirrors and bright light
Concentrated on Jesus and His cross
I feel a hand held out
To guid me,
the mirrors lost their
confusion and illusion,
when I saw Jesus standing at the door waiting,
I saw the straight and narrow way reflected in the heavenly light.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
