Great Thought

My pastor today said something that I thought was a great thought

If you love the world, you can nevery fully love God
but
If you fully love God, you can love the world

Something to think about

Isn't supposed it to be an absolute divide between loving God and loving the world? Loving the world is the same as loving he who is in the world, is it not?

The second part of that is supposed to mean that if you fully lve God, you can then see the world the way God does, and love it the way he does.

Rather than the meaning of loving things in the world as idols.

Does that make sense?
