Further Food For Thought

  1. Just before I was saved it was popular to wear a WWJD bracelet, to remind us to think, What Would Jesus Do? And with all the Ear Tickling pests in the pulpit, the truth was often, too often, distorted. We must learn to study our Bibles the way Yahweh intended us to. For depth and understanding, we begin this Stump Speech in the New Testament, working to identify Jesus, the man. In John 1:1-3 we see that Jesus is Yahweh and cannot be properly understood as only the Son of Father God. Jesus is, not was, Jehovah-Jireh or, more accurately, Yahweh-yireh, YHWH. Jesus is the Creator of all that is and of all that will ever be.

To begin to understand what Jesus would or will do we must first find our way to Salvation. I find this best done in the Life Application Bible Commentary inspired to be written first by Yahweh, the books we know as the New Testament! As a Lost Man, to me, the Old Testament was gibberish, as was much of the New. But, with the Holy Spirit (and you could not have sold me that for a thousand dollar gift in my direction) tugging at my heart and leading me, I made it through and understood the Book of John, in general. And the first time I saw the short version of the Roman Road, Rom. 3:10, 23, Rom. 6:23, Rom. 5:8 and Rom. 10:9. 10, I understood also.

I spent two years, studying, every night and driving my wife crazy as I needed to know! I read the Bible, I ate the Bible, I drank the Bible and I became a fanatic for God! I still am. But, until my teacher, the Holy Spirit of God, taught me how to connect the Old and the New Testaments I did not have the sense to just open my mouth and to let God speak while I went and hid behind the cross. All I or any other person can do is to be willing, there is nothing else!

So, what would Jesus do? He loved the people he had selected... as one selects a pup or a kitten from a litter, and He loved them so much that He sent Moses to represent Him, to speak for Him and to lead them into, righteousness. Joshua led them into the Promised Land and we must read the Exodus and Joshua 1:1-9 together. God/ Jesus did not call us to be cowards to stand still while we see our children and wives slaughtered. At the same time, there were giants in the land and He, for the love of righteousness, led the Israelites to kill every one of them, man, woman and child.

Here we stir the Pretenders into action, immediately! “A Just God would not murder the women and the children!” And I say, “Read the Word of God!” If one sentence of the text is untrue, none of it can be trusted. i.e. The New World Translation, this work is known to be an aberration by all studied Christians and some Jehovah's Witness' wont even use it. The Holy Spirit was not with the team that did the translation and that is the reason it disagreed with the other 172 translations of that day.

All of the Christian Faith relies on one thing, God! Jesus, being the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, is that God, always spelt, that's Texan for spelled, with a capital G. God, absolutely is Love, He is Righteous and He is Just! Justice is where the Ear Ticklers go astray. The only Loving God is also the only God of Justice and justice requires wrath! And the scriptures, the Word of God, teach us, it is a terrible thing to be found in the hand of the Wrathful God and in the Revelation of Jesus, the Christ, we see that He will rule the Earth with a rod of iron for a thousand years.

This article could go on and on and never be finished but I need to study and I'll leave it here for now.

May God bless you me and ours with His truth.
  2. Bill, Bill........I know how to connect the Old Testament tothe New Testament.........................................

  3. Bill..........The New World Translation was commissioned by the JW's to write so as to fit their theology.

The New World Translation (NWT) is defined by the Jehovah's Witnesses’ parent organization (the Watchtower Society) as "a translation of the Holy Scriptures made directly from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek into modern-day English by a committee of anointed witnesses of Jehovah."

The Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watchtower Society realized that their beliefs contradicted Scripture. So, rather than conforming their beliefs to Scripture, they altered Scripture to agree with their beliefs. The “New World Bible Translation Committee” went through the Bible and changed any Scripture that did not agree with Jehovah’s Witness theology.

It is without a doubt the very worst translation ever to be produced. The translators could speak no Hebrew or Greek and between the four men..........

Nathan Knorr: President of the Watchtower Society (no academic training in any Biblical language)

Fred Franz: (no academic degree in any Biblical language, though he did study Greek for two years at the University of Cincinnati)

Albert Schroeder: (no academic training in any Biblical language)

George Gangas: (no academic training in any Biblical language.

None of these "translators" could speak or understand Hebrew or Greek. That alone should convince anyone of the terrible translation that is the New World Translation.

  4. PLEASE... Teach the rest of the world that trick!
  5. The oldest copies held, on a Fly Leaf, an explanation of how they "assigned" each word a meaning and varied, not, from that meaning. You, I and anybody that can speak any portion of any language knows that context has implied meaning and must be considered. For English Speakers it's an easy case to make, if I tell you, "It's raining cats and dogs out there," you know there are nt dead kittens and pups on the ground outside. Context is so important.
