  1. FREEZE WARNINGS: Deep South/Florida, January 2-4, 2008

A high pressure cold air mass is settling in over the deep south of the United States. Low overnight temperatures are forecast to be in the teens (F) as far south as south central Florida in the citrus production areas. Persons in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas can expect temperatures 15 to 25 degrees colder than normal for this time of year through early Saturday, January 05. Take precautions regarding outdoor plants and watch for glazing of roadways and possible icing of bridges and overpasses. Monitor local NWS weather alerts and your local media for official updates.
