Feeling low and un-blessed

  1. I've had such a terrible day today, I don't even know what to say.

A former student of mine behaved like an idiot and embarrassed me in front of my colleagues.

A work meeting went really bad.

And a field trip that I had carefully planned for several months turned out to be a complete fiasco because of the terrible weather - I had prayed for good weather but God didn't hear me and the weather was always fine except during the 90 minutes that the field trip lasted.

I have cursed God and didn't even pray today because, well, I'm angry at Him.

  2. I know it can be rough when the enemy attacks us, but it important to remember who is the one who really is responsible for destruction

God loves you, so why would He not answer your prayers? That's not His m.o. maybe a better question is why could He not keep you protected from these things happening.

Flavio, my friend, you have cursed the wrong spiritual entity. God did not cause you to have a bad day, for He is not the one who steals, kills and destroys.

That is the devil and His bunch. May I suggest you repent for incorrectly judging God, and get into praising Him for keeping you safe and protected from all physical harm.

    Maybe read this devotion..... http://www.christianforumsite.com/threads/rejoice-in-the-lord-always-devotion.47373/

    Blessings to you

  3. Hey Flavio,
I know just what kind of day you had. I had that last week. It seemed like the whole week was just awful. I can admit that I did not get up and put on the Armor of God. I just didn't do it. The devil knew it and kept hitting me, slapping me, kicking me. Whatever he could do that would make me question God he did it. But then it hit me, why am I blaming God for something He didn't do? He told us that He will never leave or forsake us. He said to give it to Him. He said the battle belongs to Him. He tells us to get dress with the full Armor of God to block those fiery darts the devil sends our way. As our sister Cturtle says, the devil roams around seeking whom he can destroy. We know this but still blame God.

But the good news is that we are His children and when we go to God in prayer, he will forgive, restore and strengthen us to continue on in our journey. I know that it will get better for you.

  5. Don't like this.....it's what I have to write not what I should have written

  6. Flavio, I understand how frustrated you must be. I know I'd be thinking, "I trusted you Lord! I thought you had my back. Why'd you let me be embarrassed like that? And why did you send the rain when I specifically prayed for it NOT to rain?!" But my dear brother, instead of cursing God which will do you no good, go to God and ask WHY He did what He did. God's not some prankster to pull tricks on you for fun. He's all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-loving. And He LOVES you. Search His heart and you find what you seek. Turn you back on Him and you will not have peace.

    Blessings

(Here's a video that's helped me in doubt. I pray it helps you) :)

  7. Hello Flavio

James writes "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy" - James 1:2.

We all go through different trials and tribulations in life, and it's sometimes it's not what we want or asked for, however, James reminds and warns us as per the scripture above that when we are faced with adversity (troubles), to consider or know that its an opportunity or invitation to invite Jesus (joy) into our hearts and to ask God to take control. We've all had our 'bad' days, but when you ask God to change the way you think negatively about others, He will reveal to your spirit that Satan (the actual enemy) is trying to make you feel this way (anger towards God), also for if we look into Ephesians, Paul the Apostle writes "For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world.... - Ephesians 6:12.

Like what Cturtle has encouraged you, I too encourage you to repent of judging against God, because He is not your enemy bro.....

"The Lord says, I will rescue those who love me, I will protect those who trust in my Name". - Psalm 91:14.

  8. The God who spoke all in existence has called you blessed in the Kingdom of God and has predetermined many wonderful things in your life. If He said it then it will come to pass and no circumstance can stand in your way- but only as we walk with our hearts fixed firmly on Him. Let us keep our eyes on the King of our hearts. He, by Himself, is more than enough reward yet He chooses to bless us unceasingly- no wind or wave of circyumstance can stall that ...

  10. Thank you for your support guys, I really need it.

I know I'm behaving like a spoiled brat and I am fully aware that our God is a loving God and has blessed me in countless ways and nothing is possible without Him.

BUT if He really has a reason for yesterday's fiasco, I wish He would tell me why.

  11. Why assume it was God's doing? Why not ask God if there is something blocking your prayers?

  12. Why do you insist God had anything to do with it and why are you allowing these light momentary afflictions to bother you ?

Further more why would you turn on God with anger towards Him just because things Did Not Go Your Way?

  13. My advice to you is to confess and repent and ask God for forgiveness.

    Colossians 3:8 ............
" But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth."

Why would you think that every day is going to be a holiday? Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.....that my friend is life.

God never said that everthing in life would be great and wonderful. Just the opposite my friend.

Anger at God is a result of an inability or unwillingness to trust God even when we do not understand what He is doing. Anger at God is essentially telling God that He has done something wrong, which He never does. Does God understand when we are angry, frustrated, or disappointed with Him? Yes, He knows our hearts and He knows how difficult and painful life in this world can be. Does that make it right to be angry with God? Absolutely not. Instead of being angry with God, we should pour out our hearts to God in prayer and then trust that He is in control and that His plan is perfect.

  16. Brother.....

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts." - Isaiah 55: 8 & 9.

God doesn't have to answer to anyone really, including the fact that you would think that this is His doing. Trust in Him bro, rely on His guidance through the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom of where to go next from here.

  18. Flavio, you have done the right thing in sharing this with others here. Being angry at God is something the Psalms are full of. However, cursing God is counter productive to the peace you seek. If a person wanted to help you and you began cursing them it is likely that they would step back from you at least until you had cooled off a bit. So, too, with the Lord.

We all have our down days when we truly wonder where is God?? And many of us have had to learn to live with some difficult circumstances and challenges on a daily basis.

When I feel down I try to remember this scripture:

"When the Enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God will raise a standard against him!" (Isaiah 59:19)
That standard is prayer and praise and staying in God's Word and Godly fellowship with others. Yes, praising God for all of the good you have already received and believing like in Psalm 40..He will bring you out of the pit you feel you are in and into a better place. The circumstances may not always change right away; but His love is everlasting despite what all is happening.

The enemy of your soul is a liar and he has been lying to you about God and likely much more.

The Spirit of the God is greater than the spirit of the enemy.

Prayers for your renewed hope and trust.
