  1. There has been a talk about being drunk in the Spirit, and I wanted to get some others views on it. I will paste Acts 2 to see if you see what I have been shown.

    Coming of the Holy Spirit
1When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
    The Crowd’s Response
5And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? 9Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
13Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”
    Peter’s Sermon
14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,Your young men shall see visions,Your old men shall dream dreams.18And on My menservants and on My maidservantsI will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.19I will show wonders in heaven aboveAnd signs in the earth beneath:Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.20The sun shall be turned into darkness,And the moon into blood,Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.21And it shall come to pass. That whoever calls on the name of the Lord. Shall be saved.

So I underlined what was revealed to me. In the 3rd hour which is around 9 am according to the Jewish time division, they (the multitude and devout men from every nation) heard a mighty rushing wind. When the sound occurred two things happened.

The Holy Spirit gave the Galileans the gift of languages around the world, then the multitude and devout men from every nation (sorry I am repeating) were confused from the sound from the mighty wind that just happened and to see what was going on. Then they heard the Galileans speaking the wonderful works of God in the devout men from every nation's own native language. They all were amazed and perplexed with the scene, asking "what does this mean?"

Then you have people mocking them saying "they are full of new wine" Then Peter corrects the mockers saying they are not Drunk since it is only the third hour of the day which is around 9 am according to Jewish time division.

So my question is this: HOW can churches teach that people can get drunk in the Holy Spirit, when they were not drunk or acting drunk? It was the people that mocked them that said they were drunk. So the false teachers are teaching the sheep that the mockers were right? Which is it? Where they drunk with new wine or drunk in the Holy Spirit? Neither, because Peter clarified that by saying they are NOT drunk with NEW WINE.... Nor were they drunk with the HOLY SPIRIT as the false teachers are teaching.

All I can say is be careful in what you are taught, be like a Berean and test what the scriptures say daily. We are to test them by the fruits of their spirit. The two witnesses so to speak.

  2. Acting drunk as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit? That just sounds wrong.

  3. Try the Scriptures in Isaiah. They certainly add interest. Intoxicated, vomiting, hearing nonsense.
  4. I have been "drunk in the spirit" I was sitting in a chair and The Holy Ghost came on me strong. There was so much peace. I could freely move but if I did the peace went away so I stayed still. It was one of the times I felt like I couldnt gwt any closer to God. Drunk in the spirit is just an expression. Its really one of those things where even though someone tells you about it, it doesnt make total sence. You have to experience it.

  5. Sorry friend, I can't receive that, ...Jesus didn't do it, the first century church in the book of Acts didn't practice it and not only is it not explained in the Epistles their teaching forbids it, ...please be careful, it's kundilini force and is very common and practiced in the occult, there are lots of videos on you tube about it.

  6. Their teaching forbids what? Feeling the Holy Spirit?

  10. Where in Isaiah are you referring too? Chapter and verse?
  11. The Bible instructs us to be sober-minded. The Bible instructs worship to be orderly. Anything that the word "drunk" can be applied to is not something of God.

  12. Their teaching is how we determine doctrine, doctrine for the church is determined by,

    1. Jesus did it during His public ministry.
    2. The Church in the book of Acts practiced it.
    3. The Epistles explain it, teach how it is to be used.

What we are observing in the hyper-charismatic church today is the use of kundalini force which is of and from the prince of the power of the air (just Google it on you tube and watch it yourself to see how it's used in the occult to be qualified/informed to respond before you respond and try to defend it), ...what did Paul tell us,

Even him (AC), whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2Th 2:9

The stage is being set for the AC to make his grand appearance, the hyper-charismatic circus we are seeing is just a warm up act.

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2Th 2:10

Isn't that what we are observing, calling the kundalini force of the devil the moving of the Holy Spirit?

Also here is a very serious warning, have you received the love of the Truth, becasue if you think this demonic performance is the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit says you are deceived and also it's blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, just look what Paul says,

And for this [cause] God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2Th 2:11, 12

Voilá, the results of what Jesus warned us about concerning the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Sobering words from the Apostle to the Gentiles, ...Noah in his blessings to his three sons said we Gentiles would dwell in the tents of Shem, that is we would give up our superstitious beliefs that fueled mythology and the debauchery that comes from the worshiping of imaginary gods to worshiping the true and living God of the descendants of Shem, ...Satan knows our weakness, in his final hour he is providing for the Gentiles the opportunity to return to their demonic roots of worship.

I'm not going to argue with you, you and others can believe what you want, ...but you are playing with fire, can a man take fire to his bosom and not be burned, and also eternal damnation, ...these are not my words, but are the Words of the God you claim to follow. Selah

  13. If any of you have been in the real presence and power of the Holy Spirit, you would understand the term "joy unspeakable and full of glory" you know why to some it seemed that others were a bit drunk. You would know that our faith is in the power of God, not in empty words that religious men speak. Yes, there is a lot of error in the world...but a true and sincere believer may ask the Father and trust that He will give them the Holy Spirit and not a serpent.

  14. I've been in the presence of the Holy Spirit many times, seen, experienced and have been used to preform miracles, layed hands on a person and they were healed and heard true speaking in tongues and interpretation and many were saved (please excuse me, I speak foolishly),

...a sincere believer, that hasn't received the love of the truth when asking their father, that old serpent, will give them a serpent!

What does sincerity have to do with anything, there are lots of deceived sincere people in the world today, ...Jesus said we must be born again.

  15. Well then you should know that we don't denounce the true, because some are in error? This is satan's plan...to bring out the false and fake to discredit the true and real. A sincere believer should have what the bible describes and not be turned by these folks who are always casting doubt on the Holy Spirit and these great and mighty gifts given to us by God.
  16. Demonic forces bring overwhelming peace? I'd say that's God. If God doesn't bring peace and only demons do then the Bible doesn't make sense.
I've felt peace like Edward is talking about. It was actually during a church service (yes, I was inside a church and I didn't burn). Everyone was worshiping and singing and crying. It was a very powerful experience that I can't believe is caused by demons.
Heart_for_Christ and Mitspa say Amen and like this.

  17. Really..., we are not denouncing the Truth, we are exposing the darkness, ...as you should know, ...so because I use the Word to expose the darkness I'm the bad guy casting doubt on the actions of the Holy Spirit?

Far out, here we see the accomplishment of what is prophesied,

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isa 5:20

Dear readers, Jesus told us Father was looking for those that would worship Him in spirit and Truth, these latest manifestations are of the soul and the flesh, which doesn't fit into what Father is sincerely looking for and also with just five minutes of research of kundalini force on youtube, those with discernment, can see it is occultic.

Remember what our Lord taught us about these last days,

"Be careful! Don't let anyone fool you. Many people will come and use my name (and bring an unholy spirit with them). They will say, 'I am the Messiah.' ...And they will fool many people." Matt 24:4, 5

The Holy Spirit is God and He is Holy, anything that makes him into a clown is blasphemy! No where in the Word do we see the people of God, walking in the Spirit, acting this way, but we do see these manifestations in the prophets of Baal............,

    Acts 17:11

  18. I have seen no darkness exposed? But this continued attack against the Holy Spirit and the real effect and power of the Holy Spirit. Some call light darkness and darkness light? That don't change that the real is still real!

  19. Friend, peace is the byproduct of hypnotism which was successfully introduced into the church at the Toronto Blessing in the early 90s, with the introduction of slain in the spirit, this drunken foolishness is the result of the Pensacola Blessings and now we have the Redding California blessings with this Kundalini force.

Peace is not a guarantee it is of God, the only way we can know if it is of God is if it is found in Scripture and yes we do find this type of behavior in the Word, but it's not the people of God.
