Don't Quit

Discussion in 'Fellowship Time' started by Glad4Mercy, Oct 5, 2015.

  1. On this narrow road to Heaven
things aren't always smooth and clear.
There are times we climb high mountains,
and the skies are often drear.
Jesus said to strive to enter,
but the real test is to stay.
on the straight and narrow path that we travel,
that will lead us to eternal day.

Don't quit. Don't quit. Listen to God's Spirit.
Don't quit, Don't quit. Run the race and finish it.

There are times you'll be discouraged.
You will feel that you can't go on.
Look to Jesus and you will find rest.
He'll give you strength to carry on.
Lay aside the sin that besets you,
run the race to the crown of life.
Look to Jesus as the Author and Finisher,
for in Him we have eternal life,

Don't quit. Don't quit. Listen to God's Spirit.
Don't quit, Don't quit. Run the race and finish it.

  8. Life is hard.
    However, everything changes.
So, if you cant stand it today, then hang in there as there is a good chance that by this time next week, it'll all be different.
Just as Winter changes into Spring, your life is one season heading into the next change.
Never give up, never give in, just stay steady, and deal with one day at a time.
And remember to be thankful for something, at least once a day.

I dont know you, but God does.
So, there is no distance in prayer.
"Father, in Jesus name i lift Autumn Oddity out and above their issues and worries and concerns, into the lovings arms of Christ our Savior, so that He and you Father God can assist, heal, and restore, in all ways, their life and this continually,....
And i thank you for hearing and answering my prayer, as i know that you love to help your children.
It is what you do.... It is what you are all about....and its such a relief to know Father God that you never let us go and you never let us down...and i thank you for it, in Jesus's name.......amen

  13. Christina Rossetti's poem 'Uphill' has a parallel with life's weary trudge, with warmth and comfort at the end.

    by: Christina Rossetti (1830-1894)

Does the road wind up-hill all the way?
    Yes, to the very end.

Will the day's journey take the whole long day?
From morn to night, my friend.

But is there for the night a resting-place?
A roof for when the slow dark hours begin.

May not the darkness hide it from my face?
    You cannot miss that inn.

Shall I meet other wayfarers at night?
    Those who have gone before.

Then must I knock, or call when just in sight?
They will not keep you standing at that door.

Shall I find comfort, travel-sore and weak?
Of labour you shall find the sum.

Will there be beds for me and all who seek?
Yea, beds for all who come.
