We are to hear the revealed Word of Truth and honor God…glorifying Him for His wisdom and power and majesty. His Word is not like the words spoken by high-ranking, religious-sounding men who wrest the Scriptures to their own destruction in their denominations of envy and strife.
Man’s wisdom teaches natural things….naturally discerned things….but the Holy Spirit teaches God’s wisdom….comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1 Corinthians 2:10-14 KJV
(10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
(11) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
(12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
(13) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
(14) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
When the brothers come forth in this coming time to speak His knowledge of the Truth to the churches, the men who love to be first (having the “preeminence” among them) will oppose. They will seek to save their own religious thoughts and ways and denominations. They will not want to hear that their deeds are evil. They will not lose their lives to save them as they will reject the Truth. They will not want to hear it.
Instead, they will behave with evil….prating against the brothers with malicious words and will forbid others to receive the brothers and the words of their Lord. They will seek all of their followers to honor them over all that is called “God”. The Word was/ is God.
John 1:1 KJV
(1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
“Diotrephes”….meaning “nourished by Jupiter”….represents all of the men who love to be first among the churches and will oppose the revealing of His knowledge to their congregations. “Jupiter” means “sky father” or “shining father”. They will want all to honor them instead of God who will have revealed His Word of Truth to them.
They will be the revealed “man of sin” who will show himself in every church….every denomination…every gathering done in the name of God. They will use the name of God for their evil activities by saying they are doing these evil things with His authority…..believing that they will be doing God “service” for prating against others with malicious words and casting people out of their assemblies for receiving the Word of Truth.
3 John 1:9-12 KJV
(9) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
(10) Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
Many will follow their pernicious ways even though we know not to follow that which is evil.
(11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
We are to hear the Truth and do good not evil.
(12) Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
They will fall away from the Truth as they will do evil and not have love for their brothers who will speak the Word of Truth to them. They will behave collectively as one man….the “man of sin”…who will prate with malicious words against those who will speak the Word of Truth to them and their congregations.
They will say that they will be doing these things in His name….His authority (sitting in the temple as God)….but really they will be doing these things (calling them "wonderful works") in their own authority as they exercise their authority over their congregations and demanding that their followers honor and glorify them.

(3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
(4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
These are the words of Jesus who had told these things to His disciples when He was yet with them. Compare 2 Thessalonians 2:5 with John 16:4.
(5) Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

We should expect these things to come for the man of sin shall reveal and exalt himself in every church gathering as they will prate against us with malicious words and cast out the brothers from their assemblies and all the while thinking that they are doing God “service”.

Blessed is he that keeps the “sayings” of the prophecy of this book. The sayings are to WORSHIP GOD at the revelation of the Word of Truth and not men.

He will give to every man according as to what his work shall be. Will it be good or evil towards the hearing of what the Spirit is saying? Will men be righteous and holy or will they be unjust and filthy? Will they honor God or will they honor men who come in their own authority?
(12) And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
The “sayings” of Revelation are to honor and glorify God. Worship Him and not religious-sounding men who will exalt themselves and oppose what they will hear in every church at the hearing of His revealed Word of Truth.
KEEP THE SAYINGS: Worship God only. He alone is to receive glory and honor and power.

(6) And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
(7) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Let us honor God. Let us not give honor to church leaders who will exalt themselves at the hearing of His Word of Truth.
Do not receive the “mark” of the beast. Do not give honor to men who are like the beasts that perish. The brothers will come with the name (authority) of the Lord written on their foreheads yet, many will not receive them but will receive those who will exalt themselves and exercise their authority.
If another should come in his own “name” or authority (receiving the mark on his forehead), we are not to receive them (mark on the hand).

The tongue is a fire.....a world of evil that will set the wheel of life on fire.
