Credit Crunch Prayer

Credit Crunch Prayer

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.

The Sovereign Lord is my strength, he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enablesme to go on the heights.

Habbakkuk 3:17-19.

Habbakkuk forsees that a time of awful results as the Babylonian invasion takes place. He has really learned the lesson of faith. He trusts wholly in the providence of the Lord Almighty. Even though God may send great tribulation upon him and his countrymen, he still rejoices, because he trusts God implicitly. This is one of the great prayers of faith in the Scriptures.

May we all so grow in faith that we can pray it for ourselves.

God be with us all in these last days.
