Computer Donations

Discussion in 'Technology and Internet' started by Brother_Mike_V, May 25, 2013.

  1. Does anyone know of any organizations that are sympathetic to Christians as far as giving computer donations? My daughters Christian school is a small organization and we are in a small village-yes I said 'village'- in Western NY. They are in desperate need of PC upgrades for the next school year, something that will run at least Win 7 with 2 Gig of RAM.

I tried to bring up the Linux and open source idea; but it is one of those things where no one who is there knows anything about Linux.

It is a small school; they only need 6-preferably 12 PCs. The best I can do locally is about $200 each and that's still $1200 more for 6 PCs than they have in the budget for next year. Anyone have any thoughts? I have sent emails and visited several PC refurbishers in our area already....
  2. I did some research. I don't know if this one will help, it seems like they only give an actual desktop computer instead of a laptop. And I'm not sure of who's eligible. But you can check it out: http://www.micrecycle.org/index.htm
  3. Thanks Katie...will check it out...:D
