John 8:7, 10-11
So when they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself and said unto them, HE THAT IS WITHOUT SIN AMONG YOU, LET HIM CAST THE FIRST STONE.
When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, no man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE: go, and sin no more.
How many of us can say that we have walked circumspectly or upright before the Lord ALL the days of our lives. Even though i was saved at a very young age...I cannot. I know that the things in the news upset most of us, but now is the time to remember where we came from, and what Jesus saved us out of. This is not the time to get our posters out to tell the world how much God hates them. If we did it would be an outright lie.
Romans 5:6, 8, 10, 18
6) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ Died for the ungodly (that used to be us folks)
8) But God commendeth His Love towards us, in that While we were yet sinners, Christ Died for us (hmmmm this used to be us also)
10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (Hmmmm we used to be God's enemy?)
18) Therefore as by the offence of one judgement came upon ALL men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon ALL men unto justification of life.
The people of the world will be doing their best to rub some peoples noses in the fact that they won this great battle. Shall we be like them? Or shall we continue to pray that the Lord of the Harvest shall get many more workers into the field to reap the harvest that is ripe.
John 3:16-17 says that God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that Whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
Please don't misunderstand me...I do not condone or accept what the ruling was. In fact it is my opinion that the reason that the elected judges were able to be there in the first place is because America has backslidden, and many have walked away (or become to busy to have time for) their first love (Jesus Christ). But even though this has happened it is the time to not give up on our country. It is the time to pray for it and ourselves (the Church and the Body of Christ as a whole) and rededicate ourselves to God first and doing all that He asks of us and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to all people and to be really seeking God on how, and who to share the Gospel with.
America and us all have made some mistakes in our lives......but God still has a covenant with this country, and until He decides that we have gone to far...then we still have a chance in the upcoming elections to vote in a Godly man with Godly principles that will not compromise his convictions.
I leave you with one final thought....2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people, who are called by My Name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
