Butterfly prayers
A butterfly flittering around from flower to flower
Flapping its wings
Such a delicate
Brightly coloured creature
Only one task in mind,
If it were true that the flapping of their delicate wings
Causes a tornado half way round the world,
my prayers flittering from subject to subject,
Light weight
inconsequential
Not even disturbing the air
I breath,
Can these Butterfly prayers
Be taken up by the Holy Spirit,
And cause winds of change half way round the world?
