my family are currently in the RAF in AKROTIRI, CYPRUS.

Thank you for your kind welcome. I was once near your present neighborhood. In 1973-1974, I was stationed in Drama City in Northern Greece; I left just before Greece and Turkey went to war over Cyprus.

A TACP is a Tactical Air Control Party. As a member of that team, my job was to control Close Air Support airstrikes in coordination with US and NATO infantry and armored unit combat operations. This was my function with the US 1st Armored Division during the 1st Gulf War.
