1 John 3:1-3

1 John 3:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1 John 3:1-3 The Voice (VOICE)

3 Consider the kind of extravagant love the Father has lavished on us—He calls us children of God! It’s true; we are His beloved children. And in the same way the world didn’t recognize Him, the world does not recognize us either.
2 My loved ones, we have been adopted into God’s family; and we are officially His children now. The full picture of our destiny is not yet clear, but we know this much: when Jesus appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him just as He is.3 All those who focus their hopes on Him and His coming seek to purify themselves just as He is pure.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

1 To be called God’s children is something we don’t deserve but is something He gives us when we become family thru Jesus. He is there to guide, He is a great Father this does not mean He does not let bad things happen to us but means He is there for us to turn to when we seek Him, He often times does not let us fall beyond where we can not get up, if we are His children. The world does not know Him as Father and they live as such and without knowing Him as Father then they can’t know His love.

2 We have the honor as His children to see Him in His fullness. We get to see Him in all His glory, we don’t have to know Him as a judge as the world does but as the loving Father who gives us blessings that are heavenly.

3 We are to live in righteousness because Jesus is righteous. We are not live as this world but as Christ would have us live.
