18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
Easy English Bible
18Dear children, the world will soon end. You have heard that theenemy of Christ will appear. You now see that manyenemies of Christ have already appeared. This shows us that the world really will soon end.19 Theseenemies of Christ who used to be in our group no longer meet with us. They never really were Christians. If they had really been Christians, they would have remained with us. But they left. And so they showed that they were never really Christians.20 But Christ has given you theHoly Spirit. Because of this, you all know what is true.21 You do know that it is true. That is why I am writing this letter to you. Yes, you can be sure that thetruth does not include anything false.

18 The end of the world could happen anytime no one knows when but the Lord. False christs are those that claim Christ but stand for themselves and their own message and not the Truth and Jesus. There is many false teachers as time comes to and end. The world at time was full of them teaching untruths trying to be a leader themselves rather than people following Christ. Today we still have this problem perhaps more than it was then due to the quickness people can receive information today. False teachers and false christs show that end of the world is near due to Satan working so much, Satan does not even know when the end is though.
19 Those that are truly in Christ may backslide but they will always come back to Him because of their love for Him and knowing nothing better than Him but those who are not of Christ will fall away never to come back because they were following after what seemed to be the Lord but was the idea of Jesus instead of Jesus they were following religious ways rather Christ and these ways they stopped following and ended following other ways.
20 Having the Spirit shows we know the truth this does not mean everything we know it truth but means we know the Lord and His truth. We follow after this truth and after Him, we will never lead us in lies it is often times believers may fall for lies because they go their own way but the Lord is there for them to turn to bring them back. We need to learn the scriptures and we will not be as prone to fall for these lies of the false christs and flase teachers the world has within it.
21 There is not lies within scripture it is truth, the Lord never lies He is the truth and as long as we seek after Him we can not fall into the lies of this world. There are going to be many that try to corrupt the truth because of their hate for it there will also be many that attempt to be little the truth for the same reason.
