Oh, by no means was I saying that this needs to change. But a seperate forum for all would be a good outreach. It is a good idea to have a place 'of our own' to do to, to be encouraged and edified. We are to support each other like a fire being kindled.

Over all I was just curious why this was what it is.

Even now, we still have trouble makers registering once in a while but the staff response is very quick.

Now, the question is: How do we reach non-Christians? I haven't found an answer to that question. May be we could build a separate website for outreach purposes.
As Twila Paris wrote in her song 'The Warrior Is A Child':

"Even soldiers need a quiet place to rest"

It's good to have a place where Christians can go to be with each other and recharge their spiritual batteries.

To answer the question of how to reach the lost ...

we do that as we live our lives in the world while not being of it.

Bible

IMHO, everything is good here the way it is. It is our jobs as Christians to spread the Gospel and reach all the non-Christians we can. This site is not on lock down and anyone can read through the posts and get evangelized. The best way to preach to others is through our own actions, and by behaving as Christians on here, we are accomplishing that. Once we have made the life saving information available, it's in God's hands to see that it gets received by non-believers.

There are major "Christian" sites out there that cater to any and everyone. If believers and non-belivers are looking for a forum fight then those sites aren't hard to find...they're at the top of the google list.

I think this site is awesome!

I've been here for a while, and I still feel the same as I felt first

Say Cross man, the forum you mod, is it also Christian-only?

We certainly try...but we get Christians in every shade of commitment and personal theology. Fortunately the staff are all solid and commited to sound doctrine. We have staff that range in age from 14 to 42. The site is still relatively new and in some ways it's still trying to find it's corner on the net. The membership is small but growing.

ooooo I like that lil but
Staff are sooooooooo important for the blessing of a forum. I know here, they are in full dedication mode , non-stop chit-chating behind the curtain.

I'm sure that everyone is familiar with the gigantic Christianforums.com site. It recently changed hands and has been somewhat revised. They had a section for non Christian members, but I see that it has now been pretty much eliminated. This was viewed as productive until the new managment took over.

People like to argue, but at the same time they are really learning something. I think it may be a good Idea to have a place for those hostile to the Word - if it didn't work out you could always eliminate it. It would make more work for the moderators keeping threads in their proper places. These efforts are hard to evaluste if they are productive - so we just have to follow the Lord's leading without really knowing. That's hard to do as I found out.

For about 3 years (03-06?) I wrote on an athestic, secular humanist, new age, occult site in England. I was one of possibly three Christians who wrote there - a very small minority. I wrote not in a badgering way, but usually in reply to other people's threads. My chief collaberator through part of this was a Jehova's Witness lady in England. You don't know how much I appreciated her contributions in that situation. She was a dear woman I must say. Of course the posts never really dealt with JW doctrines. More along the basics - like the existance of God for example.

I felt like I was contributing more there than here - where we are all mostly preaching to the choir all the time. A lot of the founding women, who had started the athiest site, left and the site was moved and scaled down and had few members when I finally left. I will always wonder if all that work yielded any results.
