The thing that’s bugging me the most is the fact that I’m having a real hard time quitting smoking. It’s really bothering me. For me it’s wrong, a sin, dangerous. It’s effecting my life, my future, my decisions. It will keep me from going on a mission trip to Africa. With all the things that I’ve given up since I got saved, this is the last thing satan has ahold of me. God wants me to quit, satan doesn’t. It’s really, really hard. I hate it, but I keep doing it. I can’t stand it, but I keep doing it. So yes… it’s really bugging me. What’s the hardest thing you ever had to give up in life?

SMOKING! I tried, oh I forgot how many times.....over a hundred, I'm sure. Took over a year before I finally had victory thru Jesus! You can do it, too, WhoamI. Keep trying.
Same question.

Premarital sex, and I'm only 19. Pretty much in the same boat with Whirlwind.. want to and struggling to find a way to stop (lets not go there)
We did the downs, now how about the ups? What's the most exciting thing in your life right now?

It's taken me seven years to write a story that I think is good enough for publishing...but I think I have it! I did research, studied hard, forced myself to brainstorm new, never-done-before points of view (avoiding cliches). But I think I have it!
I shared the plot with Fluffy and she seems to like it. I really think this is the manuscript I'm going to send in. Working on this project makes me feel clean, refreshed, new, inspired.Just to be polite, what is the grossest thing that you've ever had to eat and swallow down at a host's dinner table? ![]()

Boiled okra!
What was the most surprising thing you ate? Surprising in that you really didnt expect it to taste good, and it did! (I cant wait for your book to come out, Whirlwind!)

Crab puffs. I despise anything from the ocean except for salmon and Skipper's fish & chips.
But those crab pops at a local Chinese restaurant are great! If I keep telling myself that they're imitation crab and not real...then I can wolf them down (on my cheat days, off course ).Same question - this is fun! ![]() (I can't wait for yours to come out, either, Fluff! )

Sushi, specifically eel
For years I despised even the idea of eating sushi. It just seemed so gross to me. One year this guy from Japan started coming to our church and occassionally we would go to a sushi restaurant with him and I would always order shrimp tempura. After several years of this, and my sister's prompting after she tried it, I ate a piece of eel sushi and it was delicious. Sushi has been my favorite kind of food ever since. I'm temporarily bummed because I can't have sushi right now since I'm pregnant. Oh well :-) Same question...I'd be interested to hear other answers on this, too! |

Sardines at my girlfriends grandparents house. Not only do those people squak annoyingly like parakeets, but they eat stuff that tastes like bird food. This was on Easter. I filled up mainly on the hardboiled eggs they painted.
