A winter storm is currently dumping huge amounts of snow from eastern Tennessee and Kentucky, through Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and New England areas. From the Pennsylvania/Maryland state line south, through Baltimore, Washington D.C. and the Virginias, a freezing rain and ice storm is in progress which has closed all international airports in the region. Travel in these areas is treacherous and law enforcement agencies are requesting that drivers stay off of the roads until these conditions ease.

If you reside in any of these locations, please refer to your local media, the National Weather Service and NOAA for updates and official advisories.

Just an FYI -

The annual Convention of Global Warming held in Washingron DC earlier this week had two of it's meeting days cancelled BECAUSE OF AN ICE STORM !
