Oh Lord, My Trust is in You
This past year I have been learning to trust God in so many different ways. Without getting into any details, I can say it has easily been the hardest year of my life. As I was Reflecting and praying tonight a verse came to memory:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight
Every time I read this verse I am amazed how it can apply to my life in a different way. Trusting in God isn’t always easy, but I do believe it is the best thing to do. When you can trust in the Lord completely, you’ll feel as if a large weight has been lifted off your shoulders. The worry is off you and now on God, and he can handle it perfectly.
Trusting in the Lord is a lifelong challenge. Each new obstacle in your life calls for re commitment to trust his plan. The good news is that the more often you see God’s loving hand working in your life, the easier this trusting becomes.
God loves us and wants to help us with every situation we face. We just have to learn to let him! Even the little things matter to the Lord- He wants to help! We know that God has all power and all knowledge – So stop and think: How much better off we would be if we put our TOTAL trust in God and let Him do for us what HE knows is best! Jesus told us to come to Him when we are troubled and weary and He promised to give us rest. He said His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Trust him at his word and put your faith in those promises.
One thing I have learned is that as soon as you have put trust in the Lord, Satan will do everything he can to cause doubt to enter in. When you fully release your worries to God, Satan has nothing he can tell you! Simply let him know that it isn’t your problem anymore and he can take it up with God!
God wants to give you a full and abundant life, but He only asks for you to believe in Him. The Lord can then make you the person He wants you to be, a person of true faith.
“Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.” – Isaiah 26:4 NIV
In you, LORD my God, I put my trust. – Psalms 25:1
